My first three thoughts:

1. Zero chance I’d buy anything from Gemtech
2. Master of none, and only handles 300BLK subs
3. Aluminum baffles. Yuck. Especially for 22LR.

Well....@BigWaylon is probably more knowledgeable than anyone else on this forum for all things tax stamp related, so I guess I’ll not be buying one!

I was thinking the same thing as 1911gobang and was actually waiting to see @BigWaylon reply to this ... soooooo ill be moving on :) Btw while I have your attention DO you recommend any can that would handle those 3 calibers in one shot and can be used on a pistol size wise?

I wouldn’t buy Gemtech. Their service is basically nonexistent lately ...you’ll be buying an NFA item with no service or support behind it

Just as info for anybody that doesn’t know. S&W bought Gemtech, and basically fired everybody that knew what they were doing.

You’d have very little knowledgeable customer support if you needed it.

Well, I’d never recommend buying one can to do those three calibers. At a minimum I’d buy one for 300BLK & 9mm, and another for rimfire.

That being said, there are silencers that would work. The Griffin Optimus fits the bill.

The issues with doing it with one can include:
1. Most cans capable of handling 300BLK and 9mm are going to be bigger and/or heavier than you want on a 22 hosts
2. Most pistol cans rated for 300BLK are only rated for subs, which isn’t something I’d want
3. Most rifle cans rated for 300BLK supers aren’t user-serviceable, which should be a requirement for a rimfire can
4. Any pistol can with a removable stack that includes aluminum baffles will limit your cleaning options

I have 3 gemtechs from years ago :(

oddly enough, they pretty much exactly follow what bigwaylon is saying
I have a dedicated 22lr can that weighs in at ~3oz, and another one is paid for and needs to be paperworked
I have the multimount 9mm that weighs ~7oz and COULD do 300 subs, and still may one of these days, but 300 sub has poor terminal performance compared to supersonic.
I have the hvtthd which is a solid 24oz on a 300 pistol and it could handle .308 full auto bursts without breaking a sweat.

The first 2 are serviceable, the last one is not. the 22lr can gets DIRTY. it's amazing how much crud gets in there, shakes loose, rattles, and needs to be cleaned out.
I also have a qd 5.56 from yhm that is sealed. 22lr does not go through it. only fmj.

Gemtech makes one of the lightest 22lr cans on the market. Perfect for shooting 22lr with those lightweight 22 pistols Like the Smith Wesson compact, or the ruger sr22 series. Just cause a 8oz can on a 14 oz pistol is harder for kids to use well. Throws the balance all off. I used to reccomend the warlock for that reason but silencerco discontinued it.

Outside of that their tech is kinda old and dated. It works, but there are just better options out there for around the same price point. Not to,mention there are definitely some kinks to work out with their customer service recently, and brand new products often have need of customer service

In my opinion if you wanted the closest to a do all setup I would buy a decent 22lr can, and a hybrid, or a decent 22lr can and the griffin optimus. Difference being if you would ever want a 45 host.

Third option if you were so inclined form 1 a 22lr can and buy one of the above options. That option can offset the cost of a second stamp depending on the kit, as opposed to buying a commercial 22lr, and 22lr is very hard to screw up.
