Arnold Schwarzenegger has lost a corporate sponsor for his annual bodybuilding competition known as the Arnold Classic over comments the Hollywood star made attacking people who choose not to wear masks.
The founder of supplement maker Redcon1 has announced the company will no longer serve as a sponsor for any Schwarzenegger-affiliated events.
He cited Schwarzenegger’s recent comments made during a CNN interview in which the Terminator star called people who don’t wear masks “schmucks.” Schwarzenegger also said “screw your freedom,” arguing that mask mandates are like traffic laws.
Anyone who says "screw your freedoms" is un-American, and REDCON1 is a patriotic pro-freedom brand. We support freedom of choice.
We don't want Arnold censored or cancelled. We just can't support his opinion with our dollars.

Well, it looks like another loud mouth libtard just lost a major sponsor. Schwarzenegger is un American & thinks he can sell his entertainment to the SJWs.
A supplement maker thinks they will sell more of their product to conservative Americans. I agree that working class Americans are a much better market than entitlement leeches.

This is what has to happen. People are being cancelled by less than 5% of the population while, arguably, the majority of the population view things much as we do. Cancellers should be ignored at best or scorned at worst.

“Screw your freedom,” Schwarzenegger said before going so far as to liken mask mandates to traffic laws.
Australian bodybuilder and actor Calum Von Moger, who once played Arnold Schwarzenegger on screen, has turned on his former idol after his “screw your freedom” declaration.
Von Moger used social media to deliver his message, adding he was also taking down the posters of Schwarzenegger that once helped drive him to bodybuilding success. “I can’t support someone who doesn’t support our freedom,” Moger said.
Von Moger, who was once dubbed Arnie 2.0, played the Hollywood legend in the film called Bigger.
“I looked up to him my whole life while I was training,” Von Moger said of the Terminator star back in 2017 when his role was confirmed.
Now that has changed in the wake of Schwarzenegger saying the days of freedom are passed and the time has come for everyone to do as they are told and wear a mask for protection against the coronavirus.

Yep, covid was just an excuse to seize power & more & more people are coming to realize it. The vax was just an excuse to thin the herd & more & more people are coming to realize it too.
The enlightened elite are slipping up & telling us their real plan, just like we suspected all along.
No, you don't screw our freedom & make us slaves just b/c you want to be a total dictator.

Seems like an epically bad use of hyperbole as persuasion.

I found this quote from him a couple days later:

"I’ll admit, calling people schmucks and saying “Screw your freedom” was a little much, even if I stand by the sentiment. But there is nothing that I’m more passionate about than keeping America great, and it’s the only subject that can make me lose my temper."

Not exactly doubling down but definitely not a retraction either. I get where he's coming from (personal responsibility, etc.) I just don't like where he went with it.

I suspect that Arnold just never reflected sufficiently on one of Tolkien's key philosophical-theological statements (put into the words of Gandalf) in LotR (specifically, in FotR):

"Yet the way of the Ring to my heart is by pity, pity for weakness and the desire of strength to do good. Do not tempt me! I dare not take it, not even to keep it safe, unused. The wish to wield it would be too great, for my strength. I shall have such need of it. Great perils lie before me."

It's the best thing he could do. If he retracted he'd loose respect, double down?, loose respect.

He needs to give back all the $$$ these smucks paid to see his stupid movies. Go back to Austria
