Glock 19 lights, TLR-6, etc.??

What light are you using on yer G19?

Looking at a TLR6. I have one for my 43. Like it, but wondering if I should get something with more power.

Opinions?

I️ don’t think you can use a TLR-6 on a 19. If you want to keep it small check out surefire XC1 those were specifically made for a 19 and the insight APL-c they are made for the 19 as well.

Huh, didn’t realize they made them for the 19. I’d still go with the APLc over the streamlight. You get 100 more lumens for about the same price.

Have you looked at the TLR-3? 125 lumen $75ish and same controls as the TLR-1 in a much smaller package.

I like the look of the APLc too, but I am not familiar with their warranty/CS and I know Streamlight is pretty bulletproof with CS...

I have the tlr4 and love it. Light, laser, 200 lumen, all i need, and right price. Have over 2k rounds on guns with it and no issues.

Nice thing about smaller lights is it's easier to get a snug kydex holster. The TLR-1 not only adds a lot of bulk for carry, but tends to require looser fitting holsters (in my limited experience with TLR-1 holsters).

Basically, the APLc looks appealing, but is not bright enough to be useful for target identification.

That’s pretty cool and I’d like to get one of those but surefire is out of their minds on pricing. I’ll just have to wait for streamlight to build something comparable and more reasonably priced. I’m not one who cheaps out of gear and believe in “buy once cry once” but IMO streamlight is just as good as surefire, and I’ve been using them for about 10yrs now. Never had an issue.

I just came inside from shooting in the dark with my new APLc on my G23. I had the opposite experience as the guy in the video. Out to around 30 yards I could clearly see targets. I will get another one for my G30.
