I purchased a 27 From Buds. It was an x-Kentucky state police gun. At this point I am pleased. First range trip and I am happy. BUT -It seems to have a new york trigger. Long pull and a heavy pull, maybe 10lb +.
And the sights are WAY off! How could a Kentucky state police officer carry this gun and not fix the sights! We all know of this case where the Gun shots better than the shooter- This is a case of the shooter being a better shot than the gun. 4in of at 15 yards 6+at 25ft. That's an easy fix with a sight pusher I will fix that the next time at the range.
If you glock guys could recommend a new trigger I would be very appreciative. I have looked on the net and the prices, quality as well as bells and whistles, are all over the place. I don't need a competition trigger just something more in line with a glock trigger. I was shooting my Buck Mark today also, and thinking - I sure would like a trigger as sweet as the trigger on the buck mark!

Soo.. If anyone has some experience in upgrading a glock trigger from a police trigger, please me know. Thanks

Should be really easy to tell for sure if it does have the NY trigger. The spring is completely different looking than a stock one. If that’s the case, then just pull it out and toss in a OEM trigger spring. Should be able to pick one up for a couple bucks.

OK- I put a 4.5lb connector and performed the 25cent trigger job. Still a heavy pull. Much heavier than my G23. Does anyone think I should go to a 3lb connector? Or is there something else I should consider. Gotta be some glock experts on here.

I guess you missed my reply to your OP?? If you have a NY trigger spring, you need to change the trigger spring....changing the connector isn’t going to make too much of a difference if you still have that NY spring in the gun........

Standard Glock spring on the left, NY1 spring in the middle, NY2 spring on the right (heavier of the two NY springs). You'll need to replace the NY spring with the coil spring pictured on the left to make any real difference. Only changing the connector will not get you there.
I currently have an NY1 spring and OEM Glock minus connector in my Gen 4 G26. Trying to decide if I like it or not. It's no where near 10lbs though. Maybe 6-6.5lbs but smooth. With my standard spring and connector installed I'm at around 4.5-5lbs with a sweet rolling break. It almost feels too light (for me) for carry.

my 23 I carry has the ny-1 with a minus connector. it's a touch on the heavy side but the reset is hard and positive and the pull is smooth. I was looking for a good solid duty trigger and I think that combo fits the bill.

I use a overwatch precision dat trigger with oem spring and a oem dot connector. Switched the trigger out was the best thing I have done, world of difference in trigger feel. The dot connector lightens the pull just a little while keeping the break and rest crisp
