I'm wanting to mount a light on mine and the wife's G30's and just want to see what people are using. This will be the first time having a mounted light. One question i have is there much of a danger/problem to the light sticking out past the muzzle and getting the blast pressure on it? The G30 runs a 3 3/4" barrel.

Probably get pretty dirty, but shouldn't hurt a good quality light, any light is going to get some grime on it.... I've put a TLR 1 on my Sig P226, Glocks and M&PS, ARs, even my 590, mounted ridiculously close to the barrel, with no ill effect.

I'd look at the new TLR 7 or similar sized light.

TLR 1....not my photo... that's alot going on there.

Using a good quality light, it won’t hurt them at all. I know for a fact the TLR-1 will work just fine as I’ve used that on several Glock 30s.

Streamlight products are tough. I have a railmount protac on my AR, that is mount right next to my brake and that thing takes a BEATING. Aside from cleaning off the lense every couple range sessions or so, I have no issues.
