Got my hands on it today when it came in the shop I'm sure it won't last long. Initial impressions. Size wise, just like my G19, the polymer slide makes it very light. Typical Glock trigger. Nice little piece. I'm sure they will sell a bunch.

Today's email from Hyatt offers that gun at $430 plus tax.

Nice, I've been lusting after one of these. Let us know how it shoots, would be a great practice piece.

As has been stated prior I just wish they would have included a threaded barrel!

I just saw one with a DA mask on it. Is someone making a barrel?

Yeah, Iā€™m waiting for the version with a threaded barrel and >10 round mags. Weā€™ll see...

I'm a big Glock fan as well but my son and I shoot the hell out of this Walther, suppressed and without, and LOVE it! Two years and thousands of rounds of fun.

I bought one of those off of a guy and it just does not want to shoot straight for me. normally anything walther is a tack driver, but not this one.
then again, it was buggy from the start and blew up his suppressor. walther fixed it for him and paid to have his suppressor sent back to the manufacturer and fixed up, but he refused to shoot it again afterwards anyway.

I picked up mine today, came home and shot around three hundred rounds through it. Feels like a Glock, looks like Glock, shoots like a Glock. A little lighter, of course, than a 19, and all my current holsters work fine. I did have three "no fires" the firing pin did hit the back of the shell and all three shot on the second try. I might be the cheap bulk Federal ammo? But overall I'm very pleased. I shot two targets, both were good, not quite as good as my BuckMark or S&W Victory, but I could defiantly shoot it faster on steel. Looking forward to see the aftermarket stuff that will come out soon. Fun Gun.

Iā€™ve had a couple issues with the first round loading on some of the softer tip Winchester stuff I have. I too have experienced a no fire like you mentioned.

As for aftermarket a lot of stuff already fits it. I had a spare gen 5 cmc trigger. So I installed it and it works great. Can also confirm holsters work just as if it were a 19.

Iā€™ve seen quite a few posts about slides cracking and launching the extractors into orbit. Interested to see how these hold up over time.

You guys experiencing the 'light strikes', have you tried putting the round in again (or in another gun) to see if it's the ammo?

Just this weekend I had ~10 bad rounds out of 200 in a box of winchester 22s. Tried to fire each dud round 3 times rotating a bit in the chamber to hit a different part of the rim. The rim was hammered but the rounds wouldn't fire so it was the ammo not the gun for sure. Just wondering if these G44s are really the issue or are there more bad rounds out there.

I have never had good luck with Winchester, remington thunderbolt, Armscor or other inexpensive brands of .22 in terms of constant 100% reliability and being/running ā€œcleanā€ in terms of being gross out of the box as well. CCI and Federal has done good by me using it to test a firearms reliability. My Henry will run anything, but it likes nicer ammo.

In my post above " I did have three "no fires" the firing pin did hit the back of the shell and all three shot on the second try."
Finished the entire 525 round box on Sunday, had one more of these. I will try a different brand of ammo when it's not raining.

A few months back, I had a LOT of Winchester 22 that failed to fire after multiple attempts.

Trying to use up all the Winchester I have on hand. Last box of 500 had one failure to fire after multiple attempts. My last box of 500 Winchester (I will not buy any more Winchester) has had 7 or 8 failure to fire out of just over 1/2 the box. Should finish off my last box of Winchester 22 either this week or next.

I found one for sale at a local shop last Friday. It was meh, typical Glock quality but very light. Salesman said they had sold several already. Is this better than a .22lr conversion kit?

Winchester 22 ammo is The Bottom of the barrel. We see thousands of rounds shot here. WW is a No Go here.
