In today's market, this is the problem with all 80% Glock style lowers. I've got a couple that I haven't finished because I'm a cheapskate lol.Im spying on some PF45 frames to make a 10mm, but the slides are not as easy to come by, or as cheap, as the 9mm counterparts. Has kept me from buying. I dont want to buy a gun to steal parts from, would rather just buy the parts needed.....
Interesting. I had heard some brands had flimsy plastic. I'll have to research 80%Arms.I think you'll find that 80%Arms has the absolute best 80% lower Glocks. They're so good that they are perpetually backordered. They are shipping orders this month that were placed last May.
I am told by reliable sources that they are worth the wait.
Since the election...historical amountsInteresting. I had heard some brands had flimsy plastic. I'll have to research 80%Arms.
I wonder how many 80% frames have been sold overall.
And they were hard to find soon after after COVID started, then hit again when the riots stared, then the election. Parts kits couldn't be found either. I was just wondering about the numbers, piled on top of the other numbers like PSA's 11,000/mo (or was that /wk?) lowers. That bell can't be unrung.Since the election...historical amounts
At this point, anybody who identifies as a hardcore 2A supporter, that has not at least pondered the idea of grabbing 80% lower AR recievers and Glock lowers is not thinking clearly. The writing is on the wall. Now is the time to act. Even if you just buy 80% lowers to sell when the price skyrockets, and you have no intention of finishing them...you got to at least be thinking about it pretty hard. And they were hard to find soon after after COVID started, then hit again when the riots stared, then the election. This time last year I was on the fence about getting an extra 12,000 case of Fiocchi primers just in case. I royally regret that. I'm not going to make a similar mistake about this.
They are getting hard to find in stock as well.Don't forget completion kits.
They were backordered before they shipped the first one. I got in on the pre-order and it took 9 months for my order to come in. I finally took the time to put it together a few weeks ago and it turned out I had a defective front rail. It was visibly too high in front and I could only get the slide on about halfway. 80% Arms was pretty quick to send a replacement and it went together like it should. One additional advantage to the 80% Arms frame is they will fit most Glock 19 holsters.I think you'll find that 80%Arms has the absolute best 80% lower Glocks. No more Glock knuckle. Revolutionary. Someone should tell Glock about thisThey were backordered before they shipped the first one. LolThat's for the Gen6, when they put the finger grooves back on.
600$!!!Two years ago, when Gucci Glock lovers started dumping their OEM uppers on Gunbroker to offset 1/4 of the prices they paid for their Zev slides and barrels, you could make an 80% Glock clone for around $400. Midway was even selling the P80 kits for $75 because no one was buying them. Sadly, those days are long gone. Lone Wolf makes good options for slides and barrels, but they are constantly backordered. Rock Slide is local to NC, so I’d love to support them. However, they seem to have QC issues. A friend of mine just finished his first P80 lower, but he can’t find the parts to finish the gun without spending another $600.
