Glock always calls me back.

I have a few Glocks, Mainly because I get them really cheap. And because they dont have CZ 80% lowers. Did hear a Sig P320 is in the works tho.

I like a Glock, but I dont love them. I shoot a 19 very well. I do shoot the M&P line well as well.

Neither are a CZ, mmmmm........ CZ.

Just saw this and had to post.

What does a Hi point look like?

I have several Glocks but no 19 .Have had 3 but could not shoot them worth a damn. But I went shopping this week for a Gen 4 19 and then I saw the CZP10 C .New striker fired pistol . Compared side by side to the G4 19, CZ has smoother trigger ,quicker trigger reset and great grip texture. So I bought the CZ and at a great savings in price .But I still want a Gen 4 19. I need to go shoot one before I buy one cause I always shoot it low (not low and left) .I don't have that problem with any of my other Glocks

CZ p10c might be the gun that dethrones my 19.
Looking forward to trying one!

Mother F-er, I just ordered a new holster for a 19..... Saw the Gen 5s and said "meh". Saw some reviews and see people talking about the trigger being like the 43. I always shot my 43 better than any of the other ones. Hmmm... Nah, my VP9 is better. New barrel with standard rifling and improved accuracy? Ok, I'm paying attention. After all, I'm an oper8or so that'll help me out right? Start looking at reviews online and checking out old Glock stuff. Then I find out the lgs has a few in stock. I know I'm going to end up leaving with one. I just know it. So I ordered the holster while it was still on sale. Seriously, someone should just tattoo the glock logo on my freaking forehead.

Normally I never miss me a good old fashioned Glock love/hate thread but somehow I did here.
Of 5 in the carry rotation, the G23 is my favorite. A Gen 3 model, me & that gun just seem to mesh. It's like an extra finger.
Bone stock except for peep sights. Don't giggle too much, they're extremely fast and excellent both-eyes-open sights. I'm pretty sure @Chdamn and I are the only 2 guys in the world to put peep sights on a Glock.
Secondly, why is there no love for the 41? Such an excellent range tool..handles great, accurate and you can land a Cessna on the slide..it's about a mile long.

No Walther yet? Mags aren't cheap as a glock, but the PPQ melts to your hand and has a factory trigger that beats any striker fired pistol out there, better than some expensive after market trigger options. Some people's look at it and complain about the bore axis, but I notice no difference in recoil between it and a g19.

^So much truth here don't know where to begin. The PPQ is pretty much a Glock that has better manners and clothes. If you like the Glock concept and reliability but hate the 2x4 feel, you need to try a PPQ.

And the PPQ doesn't look like a fat, ugly chick of a gun, either.

Glocks are about the most boring line of pistols evah. It's time for Gaston to go back to his sketchpad and come up with something new. Stop with the minor variations of cosmetics and do something substantive.

Its weird but the one thing that irks me more than anything is rounding the slide not the frame. That just screams poor thought to me. You cant convince me they just didnt catch that.

If people keep flocking to their local gun shop to buy them why should he go back to the sketch pad?

I guess they ARE like herpes. Just keep showing up.

What do you think of the trigger compared to the Gen4? The one I dry fired last week felt about the same as my Gen 4.

Excuse me SIR! Are you not aware that Glocks are PERFECTION?!?! I mean they've gone so long without modification. Same frame... oh wait. Same recoil sys... uhhh. Same barrels... shoot. I know there's something. I mean the new stuff is just because they're perfecting.... perfection??? I give up.

Seriously though. I agree. I really like the changes of the Gen 5 but I bought it because it's a Glock and I know and trust Glocks more than anything else I've ever owned (which is sadly a huge list). But the P320 and VP9 both have it beat as an all around gun in that class. Probably at least, I'll reserve judgement until I can make it to the range with this one.

It really bugged me too until I picked this one up. It's actually not noticeable at all to me which was a big surprise. What bugs my OCD-ness more than anything else on the gun is that the right side slide lock sticks out just a hair further than the left side. Both issues seem like oversight though and I wouldn't be surprised to see an quiet update in the future to correct them.

First, I hate the serrated trigger. The smooth trigger shoe was already a big plus to me. As for pull, it feels "different" but I can't explain why. It feels just like the 43 to me which I was never able to put into words. I'm excited about it though. I was always more accurate with my old 43 than my 19s (stock) and I think the trigger was partly to blame for that.

Actually, thinking about it more, there's no pre-travel. You immediately hit resistance with the new one and it seems to be somewhat constant rather than the stacking of my Gen 4s. Maybe that's just how I'm remembering it though.

Exactly.

The bottom half of the gun (frame) looks pretty darn good, in my opinion. The top half (slide), however, just plain sucks. No real reason for this...at least, not at this point in time.

Kinda like a flat-chested fat chick. What's the point?

(This'll probably come back to haunt me...)

Had every 9mm glock model made at 1 time or another. Down to a 19 and 34. Still not crazy about striker fired guns. Like another poster, keep a 19 in quick access safe. Sig 250 and 290RS are my EDC guns. Really like DAO for EDC.
