Glock Pistols

If they work so well, why all the need for support and parts?

My thing with support is more so with mags. Where can you find working quality mags for most guns for under $15 each.
Otherwise, I’m just saying if you need a part you can usually find it no issue.

All kidding aside, that little peashooter never ceases to surprise me. It's my EDC and I somehow manage to shoot it the least, and yet when it comes out of the pocket after not having been shot since the last BUG match several months before, that's what it does. First six shots.

To me it's uncanny, because I can't always do that with even full sized guns.

If I could only keep two guns, it would definitely be one of the them, and it's not at the top of the list only due to capacity.

For all the cr*p I give people about Glocks, I freely admit that they didn't come by their reputation as a solidly performing, reliable pistol for nothing. The firearms industry is relentlessly unforgiving in that aspect.

They're just ugly as sin to me and I won't buy a gun I consider ugly. There are plenty of other options that appeal to me aesthetically.

lol, let me order some sites, trigger ,extended mag release and I'm good to go

It's really a a fine weapon,just doesn't fit me well
There are probably more stock Glocks than there are stock 1911s.

Ken Hackathorn and Larry Vickers said at our class that no matter what country they are training in, the predominate brand of handgun they see, by far, is Glock. They said that it is even more pronounced in other countries, but often because many of them have fewer choices than we do here in 'Murica.

Much as I like my 43, I can't shoot a 34 either. Who knows why. I kept it for all of about three days.

That is exactly my thoughts. They are ugly, boxy, not eye candy. And they don't have a damn hammer & grip safety.

I like the way Glocks look. I've never been a big fan of forward serrations or engravings or any of the other cosmetics. Those things don't keep me away, but when they're not there I don't miss 'em. I think the Glock looks like a well fitted business suit, while some of the others look like something Cam Newton is gonna wear.

I believe Ken's exact words were "Its a Glock World..." They also stated its Glock 17s and 19s. In other parts of the world there is no conceal carry so if you are able to carry a gun you carry a fullsized or at least a 15+ round compact like the Glock 19.

I own 4 Glocks. 3 19s and a 17. They are in no way shape of form my favorite gun to shoot but I can shoot them well enough. They play a very specific role for me in "tool box". I don't love them but have never understood the hate.

To me, I used to think they were ugly. They don’t really compare to the CZ or Tanfoglio they live next to. It’s like living with super models!
The euro lookers get used a lot. There’s a lot of pride of ownership that comes from never being let down by them and just how good they look doing it. How fun they are to shoot. I love them dearly. When not in use, they get wiped down (maybe even cleaned!) and put away empty in the dark.

Through all of this, ole butterface Glockina, has been there the whole time, on my hip, on my nightstand, quietly ready and willing to put rounds right where I aim them and without any concern of how she looks doing it! She looks like she’s ready to get the job done. Dependable. Always loaded and never put away empty.
When you start to respect a gun, and choose it to protect yourself with, it gains a certain beauty that is hard to quantify.
With glocks, I feel like I can quit worrying about my carry guns. I am certain the grass isn’t any greener. There’s other guns that are just as good. And if I didn’t carry the glocks there’s plenty of other choices. But I choose these because of the overall price/performance ratio just cannot be beat, IMO.

Wow. I got a boner.

I just really like guns I don’t care to scratch or ding. I had a colt 1911 commander in nickel plate. I got rid of it cause I just couldn’t bring myself to carry or think of scratching it

Same here. Kimber 1911 Crimson Carry. Pretty guns have to be babied and cleaned.

I friend bought the HK 45V1 this weekend at the Hickory Gun Show from Backwoods Bangshop. He was a Beretta freak and now has a new love affair.

I'm a terrible shoot, but for some reason and I can't tell you why I just shoot it far better than any pistols I have ever had.
Plus I got it cheaper than an a 19 or 17.
Right now it's more mental for me

What would you recommend for a G22 that was a sheriff's dept trade in with a heavy (even for Glock) trigger?

Take your slide off, does yours have any of the New York Trigger springs? NY1 gives about a 12 lb pull and NY2 15 lb IIRC using a standard connector.

What is preferred is a coil with standard connecter 5.5 lbs. If there is (-) on the connector that's a 4.5 lb, the (+) connector gives a 8 lb pull. Here's what a (-) looks like

Are they half price of regular cost, cause how can you beat the already low cost for parts?
Some are much better than online. You cant get everything from Glock tho. They will only sell the "-" Minus 4.5lb connectors to LEO Agencies with a Cheifs signature on Dept Letterhead. Those are listed at $3.00. Buying them online they are $25.00. Glock also does not sell frames, slides or complete magazines.

I just picked this guy up today.

I want to do something to the trigger, coming from a worked one it's tighter, but I need to shoot it first.
