God is GREAT.

Psalm 145:1-3

Praise. Of David.
I will extol you, my God and king;
I will bless your name forever and ever.

Every day I will bless you;
I will praise your name forever and ever.

Great is the LORD and worthy of much praise,
whose grandeur is beyond understanding.

One of my favorites is Psalm 144:1-2

1 Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.

My favorite Psalm is Psalm23

A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the Lord
Forever.

I saw my mom in a dream a night or so ago.
She was young, healthy, and happy.
GOD is great.
But I miss her.
My wife was with family as they watched over her mother's last days. On one of those nights, my wife was woken twice by her mother's voice say, calmly, "let me go." My wife said the voice had an almost electronic quality to it. When she looked, her mother was sound asleep. She did not stir, nor had she talked in her sleep. The following day she went quietly in her sleep. She had suffered a nearly decade long decline for dementia and had one leg amputated below the knee due to diabetes. (She once told her doctor, in perfectly lucid Spanish which her doctor did not speak, the her doctor said she didn't have to go to physical therapy because the leg had been gone for 220 years) She was now finally at peace. She was 91.

Every time I hear that, I'm expecting something to blow up.
