Drop it in some bluing remover, soak for 90 minutes, and wipe down with Scotch-Brite and a damp rag. There, all bluing removed.

Got my Dremel. Ready to go. Updates will follow. This might take most of the afternoon.

I was hopin' for tips on an engraver. Lol! Missus has a thing for barbecue guns & I'm thinkin' about having a "his & hers" pair of RIA 9mm OACPs engraved & nickel plated.

Such a joker! You had me going there.

I knew you was BS'ing us when you said "it might take most of the afternoon". I once assaulted a mod 36 with a graver back in my young and stupid days after I'd practiced for weeks and thought I had it down pat. One look at the poor 36 and you'd know I was still green behind the ears....

Goofy me was going to ask why you would remove the bluing when your etching would be easier to see in the blue.

Ah man, I was hoping for a cool project thread. Jerk lol

I think I broke a finger trying to scroll down on my laptop when I saw "engraving project" and that dremel, and scream NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO… You sir, are an ass.

but we still like you.

but don't push it again.
