Hi y'all!

I'm new to the area (moved up here from Texas) and live in far north Charlotte, I guess they call it the Highland Creek area. I'm looking at a couple of old top-break revolvers on Gunbroker and need a FFL to send them to. So who's a good FFL in the area who doesn't charge a ridiculous amount for a transfer?

On a side note, are there any gun shops or pawn shops in the area that tend to have older revolvers and top-breaks? I'd rather buy locally than ship something in if I can.

I’m only a few miles up the road from Highlnd creek. For me for FFL’s it comes down to price and hours. Since TR Inc in Concord closed up shop, I now use Lake Norman Pawn on 73 in Denver.

It’s a little bit farther than I’d prefer but they’re great, only 20+5 for each additional, Saturday hours, they call you quickly once your items arrive, and are quick to send FFL copies when requested. As someone who buys online a lot and sometimes from lower volume sites, the great communication is important.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was looking for. Paying $45+ for a transfer just seems ridiculous! I agree that communication is key! I like to find one shop and establish a relationship so I always know what to expect.

Thats who I use as well, and it's only a mile from my house

Outdoor Dynamics over in the edge of Kannapolis is owned by one of our moderators here. That's who I use since TR Inc. moved and turned in his FFL.

@Butter

Should have added this.

The Aisle Pawn Shop in Mooresville has a lot of old revolvers. Prices might shock you though, but talk to Bob the owner who will deal with you, especially if you are going to pay cash. Just don't use them for transfers, ammo and accessories. Their fees for transfer are stupid high.

I also use Outdoor Dynamics for my transfers.

Another vote for Lake Norman pawn. Since my FFL closed I've used them 3 times. They call me to let me know my order is in usually before I get the email that it's been delivered. In and out quick, just a good group.

If you do go to LKN Pawn, tell Jim I sent you.

He won’t have a clue who in the hell you are talking about.
Especially if you say “Frank sent me”. 🤣

Another +1 for LKN Pawn! Jim is a pretty good guy and he is usually more than willing to work with you in helping you find what you need also!
