Now that Greensboro is canceled for good, what are some other good shows with a decent collector crowd/vendors.

I’ve got tables for Asheville in January. I did that one in October and enjoyed that one, but Greensboro was the main show that I did.

Im closest to Raleigh but those shows have mostly been new stuff and flea market grade tactical accessories.

Three of us had tables in Salisbury last weekend. We had pretty good results and may return in February. Hickory right after NYD could also be interesting.

I actually sold EVERYTHING I took except a set of buis. Even sold 2 mini uzi barrels.

The 2 dealers across the aisle sold all but like 3 for one and 5 for the other out of at least 100 each.

Salisbury show

All shows could be ‘good’ shows if ‘good’ dealers were there. More gun shows are better than fewer ‘good’ gun shows

There’s the catch. And that has a lot to do with the promoter.
The New Bern show is a good example. I had three tables there for one show, there might have been four other vendors whose tables were mostly guns. At leas two of them were pawn shops and they were all selling new or trade in type stuff. There was no crowd there for collector type guns because those dealers aren’t regularly there.

I don’t want to pay for tables and a hotel (depending on the distance) to not sell anything, or at the very least have an enjoyable/entertaining weekend.
The Salisbury show sounds like it might be worth doing if it comes up again.

I mean is there even good gun show anymore? The days of deals are basically over. It's. It the early 90s anymore unfortunately.

I agree that deals can be harder to come by but they are still out there. The trick is to know what you are looking for and the fair price to pay. I got a good deal off a guy who recently won the gun in a raffle. Got the tactical 3 fn15 for $710 and it retails for 1600, but went to a TONNE of gunshows before i found it... could be cheaper to pay retail and save on entry fees and parking :)

But how much did you spend going into these shows and coming out with nothing?

I'm not in the market for guns overall. If I can find a good deal on let's say a Savage 99 in .308 then maybe you can get a rise out of me...maybe? What I need are primers and powders at a fair price. Too me going to a gunshow is like buying a lottery ticket for 9 or 10 bucks. Chances are that I'm out 9 or 10 bucks as lately they have absolutely nothing I want. It's kind of sad really. What they need to do is split these shows into two or more venues. Have a gun show where every vendor has to have at a minimum 3/4 of his tables devoted to some form of gun paraphernalia with t-shirts, pocket books, jerky, knives, coins, and other assorted crap not allowed. For example, if you have two tables then both need to be full of gun stuff. If you have one table full of ammo or holsters or knock-off Leupold scopes you are good. If you have two tables and one has nothing but hot sauce your ass is out because you didn't meet the 75% minimum. You need to go to the next "craft and jerky" show and leave us the hell alone. If we like your jerky or hot sauce that much we'll make sure to go to your show. ;)
