The Pixel 4 came out in October, and was $800+. This week it's $300 off. There's a new Pixel 4 phone (4a) coming out at the end of the month for $400, so they wanted to get some excitement (and the cheapest 4 phone is $499).

On sale at Amazon, Google itself- and I got mine from BestBuy.

I was the last dinosaur on the planet using a Blackberry. As awful as it’d become, I kept it until last fall because I had an impossible AT&T rate plan that was grandfathered (unlimited data anywhere on earth for a fixed price). Since I’m not doing the international travel anymore, I searched for a replacement. I bought a Pixel 3 (wish I’d gone for the XL) and use Google Fi for service. I’ve been satisfied with both.

    What’s GoogleFi?

I realize I could Google it... but I’m lazy.

Google Fi is Google's finger in the eye at phone companies high price plans. It seems to have worked, there are lots of better plans these days. It is actually 3 networks: Sprint, TMobile and Wifi. The price is cheap, but data costs extra. I used it for years, and the family still uses it, but I got a deal on an unlimited data plan and went with that.

Google FI also offers an unlimited data plan. On that plan, the more lines, the less each one costs. I wish our daughter would agree to give up Verizon and join our plan. Adding a third unlimited line would cost only $30 more per month.
