I received this gem today from the luminaries at City Hall:

This coming Sunday May 19th downtown Hendersonville will be hosting the Hendersonville Open Streets event. This event includes street closures which will begin on Sunday May 19th at 1:00 pm. Seventh Avenue will be closed at that time between Martin Luther King Blvd and Ashe Street. The loop off of Seventh that is formed by Locust, Track and Maple Streets will also be closed.

Sometimes you just have to chuckle. They're closing streets for the "Open Streets" event.

Does ANYBODY in government READ what they just wrote BEFORE posting it?? Obiously NOT....

Reminds me of businesses that set up a voice mail system but never call it to make sure it's working correctly....

Running joke between truckers on I 85 in SC is we don't know which lane to use. Signs say trucks use left lane. Then they keep closing the left lane for construction. What do we do?!
