who's going and what you hope to find? I plan on going Saturday morning. Will be checking out overpriced CZ's, mags (clips for our lib friends) and maybe some Gerbil jerky.

Gerbil jerky?

They got Gerbil jerky?

I'm in!!!

I'll be there. Probably Sunday. I really want a plain edge micro tech bounty hunter or stormtrooper. Id also like to find a flat top nato AUG

don't count on low parking fee of 5 bux there is an ''event'' this weekend that they think allows them to jack up the price for parking. bout bet on it being 10!
Don't think there is a damn thing the promoter can do about it, but they should bitch and raise hell.

In my quick walkaround this afternoon, the 'small side' of the show has some pretty W I D E aisles... almost like they "lost" a full row!!

Anyone know if ā€œbackwoods bang shopā€ will be there? I hear they have good deals, but apparently arenā€™t at the Winston Salem show anymore.

I never understood the controversy there...

Backwoods wonā€™t be there. There was no controversy at the Winston or Greensboro shows. Jerek is still being treated for leukemia and isnā€™t able to be around crowds because of that.

Parking is supposed to be $5 for the gun show. The $10 parking was for the event this evening.

"14. All guns, including exhibitor's personal guns, must be unloaded and kept unloaded before entering the building. NO EXCEPTIONS!"

No concealed carry, huh? I know the state's rule about any establishment or event that charges an admission to enter but, goodness gracious.

All the gun shows I've been to require you to present your unloaded gun to have the action zip tied.

I think the coliseum is the "promoter" of the show. Complaining to themselves would not do anything.

Seems the promoter is from Stokesdale.

complaining about the parking fee and carrying will fall on deaf ears within the borders of the People's Republic of Greensboro. I have also dealt with the second in charge of the complex and trust me - you would not get anywhere talking with him about those two issues either.
That being said, I'll be there looking for a Japanese Samurai sword made in China.

Dumped my fun money elsewhere this month so sadly not going. I like the show cause theres some different vendors from further out west in NC that never come to the shows near me. Yeah the parking $ stinks and with the admission makes it damn near the same as a local FFL transfer fee but some interesting used stuff shows up there that makes it worth the 1.5 hr drive.

$10 to park! Come by Greensboro Guns & Ammo. Parking is free and we have more guns for sale. But if your looking for jerky or jewelry you are SOL.
Candles
Do you have scented candles?

You know what Im hunting for (No @premise I dont want your boob wax or whatever), let me know if you see any so I can go tomorrow while in gso

Show was OK - seemed like a lot of non-gun tables. If you're in the market for a good kydex holster, stop by Houdini Holsters and check them out. It's always worth it to me to go to the W-S or Greensboro show just to pick up one of their holsters.

I was crazy busy answering questions and showing off work. Iā€™ll be back out tomorrow.

Come see us.
You were explaining why you don't finish barrels when I walked by. ;)

Parking was $5, admission was $11. I went to meet up and do a sale with @Dwight Pitts . I spent about an 2 hours wandering the tables and shooting the shit with @ncengravers.com

Sadly there were not many good deals or even resonable prices. In fact the best deal i found was the used movie industry pelican im2100s for $15.

Spotted today where the $1300 used keltec RDB, garands $500 more than what CMP charges for the same grade, the $13 gen 2 pmags, $15 kci ak47 mags, sigs at msrp, the $1900 tavor x95, boxes of hornady black 6.5 grendel for $24, cheap Chinese optics.

I don't think I'll be going again.

We donā€™t offer coatings on pistol barrels because they are a high wear item. People always looking to have them coated again because they chip.. go figure.

Same reason I don't polish the soles of my shoes. ;)

I found three interesting pistols and, somehow, managed to resist each. The guy at the WS show with the "NIB"
(NOT:mad:) first gen Smiths still has 'em for sale. There is justice. :D

I saw the fine folks at NCEngravers and they have me ready to spend some serious money, Iā€™ll PM them with details later. ;)

Saw a company selling socks, that allegedly are magic socks for moisture wicking and for every pair you buy, they donate one to active duty .mil overseas... I figured Iā€™d try one pair and see.

Then I found an author who seemed to be cool and had interesting books, so I bought a set...

Bought 3 raffle tickets to help disabled Marines, I donā€™t hold out much hope for winning the 6.5 creedmore... :(

I truly hate the shoddy food and overpriced nature of it... Iā€™m supposed to take over the Greensboro gunshow for GRNC in addition to the Winston Salem show, and I hope they wonā€™t bitch at me for bringing my cooler..

I was there all day and only had one membership, it was a SLOW day... I mean I canā€™t believe that in a election year, it was this barren... I doubt many of them are going to make their rent back if tomorrow isnā€™t better...:(

And to see the smoking hot hottie they have working there.. that woman says she is 50 but I think she could make a blind man see... :D:eek:

I don't know of a single gun show that allows the public to carry a loaded firearm of any kind. Insurance requirements - same ones that require all guns in the show to be tied such that they can't be operated.

As for the promoter of the show, it is NOT the Greensboro Coliseum. It is the Greensboro Gun Show, a private business located in Stokesdale. Parking fees are controlled, collected, and kept by the coliseum. The promoter has nothing to do with it.

Couldn't anyway cause the state laws, as silly as they seem sometimes, override what an establishment allows. Weird, right; that the constitution doesn't override those rules??? It's so fantastic!!! Can't go wrong staying home with a bunch of Oreo's!

Went early and only thing I came out with was a new knife. Lots of nice guns but seemed to be priced kinda high. A few Canik's were priced ok but already have one. Was looking for CZ or kimber.

Parking was $5, admission was $11.

What's been keeping me away for a while now. Admission just kept creeping up and parking on top of it means one is at 16 before they even get in.
If you find deals - great. If not, meh.

I know it's a good show, but I think i'll spend my extra money this week on some clothes for work

Not as many venders at this one and that attendance appeared light, but I was there early and was hoping it would pick up later in the day for the venders. Stopped by Blue Collar Reloading (the only reason I attend regularly) picked up some powder, but was surprised at how lean the show was on reloading supplies (outside of BCR who has just about everything you could want). Couldn't find any Blue Bullets (not unusual) and couldn't find any Shooter's World Powders.

Oh well, tomorrow is a range day. Time to empty some brass and start again.

So, did anyone get a picture of the "smokin hottie"? ;) Regards 18DAI
