Hey, it worked. Go free speech!
I have never shared any info regarding Carolina Firearms Forum in a post or PM on NCGO. In fact I only learned about this site yesterday evening. I merely sent myself a PM with the URL here to test if what was being reported on NCGO was true. It is.
Added to the other issues I've been hearing for some time now, it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
I wouldn't even mind a policy that didn't allow posts to contain such specific references. But telling a paying member what he can and cannot communicate in a private communication? Nope. That's just not gonna cut it with me.
All members, paid or not, deserve to have their private communications respected...and beyond that, the right to choose to communicate where they wish to congregate with others. The Soviet style of administration is not my cup of tea. (I've been a super moderator on a very large, well known knife enthusiast site for the better part of 20 years and haven't sunk to those sorts of heavy handed tactics.)
