I've been mulling over some basic body armour lately for a number of reasons and one of the carriers I've been looking at is the Grey Ghost Gear Minimalist https://greyghostgear.com/collections/plate-carriers/products/minimalist-plate-carrier But...... I'm a big dude (but shrinking daily, I can fit comfortably in a 52" jeans, down from a 56-58" 6 weeks ago) and wasn't sure it would be a comfy fit. So I wrote them an email with some questions and got a reply really quite fast. It was simply a request to call. So I did. The lady who answered explained she wanted to know what size plates I had since they had a guy my size on staff who used the same carrier but had try a couple of sizes/styles of plates to be really comfy. When I explained I didn't have plates yet she asked for a mailing address. I asked why. They are going to ship me a Minimalist with a return label in the box so I can see if it fits/suits me. If it doesn't, no worries send it on back. If it does and I want to keep it, call back and pay for it. I didn't ask for this, they offered unprompted. Didn't even ask me to pay shipping. Now - that- is going above and beyond to win a customer. Just wanted to put this out there since we usually have tales of woe to tell and this just blew me away.
