Found this Griswold 699T at a Goodwill outlet in Richmond VA... while looking for stuff to help my son furnish his new apartment while at law school.

Dirty, needs cleaning & reseasoning...but not warped, pitted, or cracked

What can you tell me about it?

It is no good. Too old. I’ll come pick it up for disposal for you. Go buy a new Lodge.

Clean it up a little, season it, use it. You'll love it. Check out some You Tube videos on how to season it. It's not hard. The more you use it, the better it will be. Congrats, you found a fine skillet.

This morning I stopped by a local yard sale and picked up a Griswold 699B.
It must be your and my lucky week.
Mine is in the oven as I type. :)

22 LR ammo, toilet paper, and now y'all are hoarding Griswolds!

Congrats to you both.

Great find and enjoy! I can't add anything that hasn't already been said above.

I’ve got several Griswolds and a few Erie’s. I’ve got a thin walled Erie that was my Great Grandma’s and use it regularly. Last night as a matter of fact. Fried some homemade crab cakes in it. A lite washing and wiped it out with a paper towel.
