GRNC Constitutional Carry Bill?

I have constitutional carry. It’s the second amendment.
Once all Americans realize their rights are not to be shaped by other humans, that is when we will all be free!
The 2nd amendment says we can freely bear arms & this only rely bothers Communist. Jimmy cracked Coms And I don't care the boogie man's gone away.

Getting our state in order wouldn't help much since concealed carry is forbidden by our state Constitution. We would have to amend it to fix this in our state.

Sec. 30. Militia and the right to bear arms.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; and, as standing armies in time of peace are dangerous to liberty, they shall not be maintained, and the military shall be kept under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power. Nothing herein shall justify the practice of carrying concealed weapons, or prevent the General Assembly from enacting penal statutes against that practice.
Not correct.

If you read the text you posted, you'll see that the state constitution does not forbid concealed carry. It says that the state constitution does not protect your right to concealed carry from infringement by the state government.

The NC Constitution does not require the state legislature to ban or restrict concealed carry, it simply permits them to do so (although I'd argue that the Second Amendment already precludes that, but that's not really relevant to the point).

The legislature could absolutely make permitless concealed carry legal throughout the state with no change to the NC Constitution. Although, if Robinson is elected, there is no reason they couldn't amend the NC Constitution as well.

My family has been fighting for this country since 1723. You are scared so stay on the porch.
Well good for your family but the question was what have YOU done in NC other than carry concealed and hope you don't get caught. Breaking the law and hoping you don't get caught isn't fighting. Go out and break the law and be open about it while you are doing it and let us know how its works out for you.

You are not one to be trusted to protect America and the constitution.

So when you can't answer a simple question you resort to personal attacks.
Ok so no one seems to know you. You have been on here 4 years with only 28 comments. You have run your mouth not even knowing what you’re talking about. Many other things give strong indications of what you are. Now tell us the truth about you .

Boy you sure do get upset when someone post that your actions are against the law. You then go on a tiraite about how your family has been fighting for this country since 1723 and yet you can't or won't answer the simple question of how are you fighting for gun rights.

To Quote member DuncanLemp who said it best "Virtually nobody here disagrees with your view that the Constitution guarantees the right to keep and bear arms, including concealed carry. However, sitting out the fight to remove unconstitutional laws, belittling those who are engaged in that fight on your behalf, and saying "but muh Constitution" is hardly "standing and fighting".

Are you out there physically resisting tyrants with force? Are you openly defying the unconstitutional laws, getting arrested, and beating the tyrants in court? No? Then you're just as "scared" as anyone else, if not more so.' END QUOTE.

Beware of this one .

Get caught carrying concealed in NC without a permit and let us know how that works out for you. The first time is a Class 2 misdemeanor and a Class H felony for a second or subsequent offense.
Sean, is that you?

Whether it is or it isn’t, don’t come in this community and start berating the membership.

Geez, I wasn't trying to start a flame war. I think both people were being a little overly confrontational. Dan is 100% right about the Constitution, I was just trying to move the conversation in a more productive direction.

Unfortunately, the average American does need to be reminded of the basics of the Constitution, but I just don't personally think that posting some variation of "The Constitution is my carry permit!" on this particular forum, in every thread about "Constitutional" Carry (a term which I despise, because I agree that it is never used correctly), adds much to the discussion. By all means, carry everywhere under the aforementioned philosophy. But your responsibilities as a citizen don't end there. There is a lot of work to be done in a variety of arenas to protect the rights you hold so dear.

Similarly, the "go ahead and try that, the state will ruin you" was pretty unnecessarily snarky, and therefore similarly unproductive.

In case y'all haven't noticed, we're outfinanced and outnumbered in this fight to preserve our rights. Let's at least give ourselves the advantage of sticking together and also sharing actionable information with those who already agree with us.

“And just how are you fighting?“

Me? Apart from GRNC membership, I went to a event at Davidson college recently, where there was a panel discussion on guns in America…

You sat and listened to 2 pro gun folks & 2 anti’s talk for an hour, then you spent an hour talking to strangers at your table about what you heard & your thoughts…

It was interesting, I enjoyed it… one of the Karen’s at my table said I scared her & I told her that was ridiculous. 🙄

The folks at my table were mostly ignorant & bought into the scary terminology the left likes to use, phrases like “high capacity magazines, the 5.56 decapitating children” bullshit. 🙄🤮

I tried to educate who I could, but most just didn’t have time to talk.

That’s dumb as hell.

Great thing about an individual exercising the liberty that’s rightfully theirs is doing so without wanting or needing to throw it out there in everyones face. Carrying sans a permit is a righteous act of civil disobedience. No, it’s not actively “fighting”, but simply a citizen enjoying their liberty…

Something to be said for that.

I know what you mean there I have educated several people myself about the false claims made by the left. I have also introduce a number of people to guns through target shooting and one woman said to me this was nothing like I was lead to believe. She went with my family and I to the gun club scared to death of guns and now has several of her own after going with us a number of time.

My own mother who is a Blue blooded Democrap commented once at a family get together that she didn't believe people should be able to buy machine guns at Walmart. I ask her where she got the stupid idea that you could do that and she said thats what the news is saying. I told her that she should stop listening to ignorant anti gun democrats that just make up shit and have no idea what they were talking about. I explain the process to buy a machine gun and She kept on running her mouth and I told her in front of the whole family to put her money where her mouth was and we would ride down to Walmart and try to buy a machine gun. She shut up after that since she realized that her BS wasn't convincing anyone
