That happens... I had a good day though and my only regret is how much I spent... :D
that and the concession stand fries are not worth the money. :(

They never are.
And I spent no money, outside of entry fee.
I really saw nothing I was truly interested in (well...There were things that I liked, but not that I could afford or justify the expense).
Not going to say it was the worst show Ive been to, but I usually get SOMETHING at a show.
I passed on the salsa, clickyclicky tasers, ninja throwing stars, and 'crazy bitch nc' shirts.

If the minion goes with me, it's usually our first stop to find him a bag of jerky, he's then content to walk around till the bag is empty.

I wont lie - I usually spend the buck on a piece haha Its a nice snack to get me through the show and then I can get some lunch afterwards.

But I do laugh at the BS at the shows, the totally unrelatable things like the Crazy Bitch NC shirts, the guy selling a dog grooming tool etc. I can understand the novelty knives, but theyre still dumb A F (cheap ass knife thats like 16" long and about 30 colors on its blade...with paracord wrapped handle for tactical goodness! lol).
 
me and lee was there at the show, I found out yesterday, I knew madman4ever and didn't even know it. I shot the bull with him and few and told him I was one of the ones calling what they did at the whatever you wanna call it BS. He didn't seem upset about it and neither was I if I was a paying member whether it be in fees or donations I'd been a lot more pissed. I told him why I felt that way to I mean I feel like they were pulling the same stupid crap the democrats pull all the time like the vagina suits to what promote women have vaginas?? like if you don't know then your probably under 3. Either way I felt it was completely stupid for anyone who represents us whether we do anything or not. The point is they voluntarily do this,they're not forced so if they pull stupid crap then they should expect a nasty reaction. oh for chikn ....,,,,,??!! and please use more if needed

  • ATTEND THE RALLY! It will be located on the grass mall just north of the Legislative building at 16 W. Jones St., Raleigh, NC. The rally will begin at 11:00 AM, *Wednesday, October 11, but it's wise to get there early to alleviate parking concerns.

Since they gave a decent notice, perhaps more people will attend. I will be at the beach on an RV trip that I planned and paid for a while back. I think having people actually show up makes a strong statement to those congress critters that is important. While it mystifies me that we've "allowed" them to strip us if our "rights" (?) I guess if we're going to play their game, this is an important move.

The "Squish the Magic RINO" head mask did not receive much attention here previously, but did receive other attention at the August rally.
Shortly after he was introduced, Squish – a group member wearing a rubber rhinoceros face mask – was unmasked when General Assembly police officers told him it’s illegal to wear a mask on state government property.

The value of wearing costumes can be debated; declaring plans to violate the law, not so much.

I would have to look it up, but I recall something about the costume / mask regulation being about the intent to conceal identity, which is not the purpose of Squish.
 
The law does not mention intent, but only the result, @noway2
§ 14-12.8. Wearing of masks, hoods, etc., on public property.
No person or persons shall in this State, while wearing any mask, hood or device whereby the person, face or voice is disguised so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, enter, or appear upon or within the public property of any municipality or county of the State, or of the State of North Carolina. (1953, c. 1193, s. 7.)

I will not be in attendance, as I'll be at work and, well, wouldnt want to be a part of the group with a furry rhino costume which is a featured item.
