Curious what experiences people have had at past Gryphon Group Rumbles. Looks like a good time from the youtube videos I've found but curious what kind of physical tasks they have and what level of shooting expertise is recommended for something like this.

The rumble is really a great match. A few buddies and I shot the one last March, had a great time and learned alot. I am of a moderate fitness level and the heavy division is truly a challenge. Lifting and carrying a 100lb sand bag, dragging a weighted sled, carrying 50lb dumbbells and pushing a wheelbarrow with 200 lbs in it. The light division does the same distances and tasks, but the weights go way down.

The shooting part is less competitive match and more collaborative training event. Pistol is all steel and out to about 25 yards. Rifle is mostly 100-250, but 2 of the stages had some targets at 400-500. Both stages that had long range also had a staff member on a scope calling hits and helping you adjust misses and the squad is encouraged to help.

Most anyone with a rifle, lpvo, a glock and even a modicum of fitness should be able to knock out light or slick divisions, but heavy is a solid challenge.

If you are considering it, do it. The staff and shooters look like they could pretty easily invade a small country successfully, but are some of the nicest and most helpful people I have ever shot with
