Ok, I am not a collector for any other reason than to protect what is mine and what I believe in. I say this because none of you will travel too far to be at the auction of my firearms.

Besides, the wife has been told to, upon my death, not sell my guns (all 3 of them) for anything less than what I told her I paid for them. ;)

I have one weapon, a German Drilling, left to me by my father that I consider gorgeous. Since thinking about that I have been trying to break the internet looking for the most tastefully, and tediously decorated
firearms I can find. My brother has a 1911 commemorative given to him by his LRRPS outfit in Nam/Cambodia. I have thought about killing him for it!

Anyway, here's a few examples, please add more since most all of you are far more knowledgeable than I, but I love the eye candy.

These cheesy rusted up shotguns appeared on the Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company site and range from $15,000 to $49,000 in the USED listings

If you ever get a chance to go to the NRA museum in Fairfax, VA you need to. They have an amazing collection of firerms there. Some unbelievable looking guns that preseidents have given as presents to eaders of other nations, etc.

Thread title was a tad misleading.

Still nice, though.

I have been wanting to get up there for a while now.

Guess I better go before the trip.might be too dangerous to make!

@Ben Jefferson, those are some gorgeous guns. If we ever meet remind me to tell you about the gun collection I helped inventory during a contentious divorce when I was doing personal protection as a side gig. I'll mention that one drawer in a cabinet had 10 Svarovski scopes in it. Only about 100 weapons total but the estimate for them was between 250k and 750k which we told her she needed a high end weapons expert to nail down. A lot of the weapons would have made the cover of Double Gun Quarterly.

Captured this fully engraved FN Hi Power in one of Saddam's Palace in SW Baghdad in 03'. Course couldn't bring it home back then. Came back 3 months later and it was gone. Notice his initials in the right mother of pearl grips.
Second blued gun was presented to his son Uday. If you read Arabic, his name is written in script on the left side of the slide. Believe its one of the Argentina's Commander versions ie shorter slide.

Wish I could like this post more than once. Also wish the military still allowed our soldiers, and not just the suits, to reap the spoils of war. Such a shame.

When did that stop exactly? Vietnam or post-Vietnam?

anyway, awesome post. Sorry to hear you couldn’t get that over here. You can use my address if ever have the opportunity it’s again :)

I'm oddly aroused by this conglomeration of metal and wood. Heh heh...I said wood.

yeah man. These are pricey, but I really want an AR with wood furniture. Might buy the furniture set and go fro. There. But difficult (for me anyway) to know if it will work on anything other than their platform.

Believe it was under President Carter and under 27 CFR dated 1976.
