I'm looking for a new holster for a Ruger single action. I'd prefer to buy in person to feel the leather. What shops in NC keep leather in stock? I'm in Central NC (outside Chapel Hill), however will consider a drive to the right place.

You can try Gunner’s Alley in Cary. I believe he does custom holsters. I’ve heard he’s a really hard person to get in contact with FYI.

Gunners Alley is by appointment only for in person shopping
Leave a message if he doesn't answer
I was there on Monday for a FFL transfer, he also has SOT for NFA items

What does he charge for the FFL?

R&J Gunleather makes holsters himself, owner's name is Joe. He is "retired" but takes orders and likely already has something for your revolver made. I am going to try akd attach the picture of the holster I bought from him for my smith 686

MTR sets up at the Raleigh Dixie Gun Show. Next one is in January. I’d bring your gun to the show and talk to them. Great folks.

Waiting on the MTR holster I ordered during the Nov Dixie show to arrive

I know a decade ago PDHSC and Lawman's both had leather holsters (Lawman's had more), and they are practically next door to each other in South Raleigh off Tryon. I haven't lived near there since though so don't know what they have now.
