Looking for a good gunsmith in the greater Asheville area.
Want to change out the front sight block on a SAR-2 AK-74 to one that's threaded for a muzzle device.

Prefer one that won't hold the rifle for three months and still can't confirm he's ordered the parts.

Phil Flack has some trigger time on using Ak's , good smith

Kinda goes against the "won't hold it for 3 months before ordering parts" in my experience.

I'd give Sam Summey in Flat Rock a call B&S Gunsmithing, Flat Rock NC, 828-606-3080

Thanks for the recommendations. I ordered the parts (got them in less than a week), handed them off to Sam at lunchtime this past Tuesday and picked it back up from him yesterday. A day and a half to do the work. He did an AWESOME job.ak74.jpg

I went to gunsmith school with Raymond Bunn who is in Sylva.
He's been going for over 30 yrs now, used to smith out of a larger/public shop for years that closed recently , but now is on his own.
