Guy pulls gun on a couple because of MAGA hat

Quote from True Grit - Goudy was the defense attorney cross-examining Rooster:

Goudy:
Now is it not true that you sprang up on old man Wharton and his two sons with a deadly, six shot revolver in your hand?

Rooster Cogburn:
I always try to be ready.

Goudy:
Was this revolver loaded and cocked?

Rooster Cogburn:
Well, a gun that's unloaded and cocked ain't good for nothin'.

Let me say this sloooowly...

Be the gray man.

As cool as I think some of the fashions are, with their catchy slogans and graphic designs that often say what I think, I can't bring myself to wear it.

Although I smiled, I cringed inside when I opened a gift and found three t-shirts with the name and logo of a major gun producer on the back.

coulda been worse- a recent attack involved a deadly green assault laser on the guys pistol.

and people died - they DIED!!!

So, he acted like he was left wing, but he carried like he was right wing. Perhaps he's one if those radical toting lefties we hear about?

IF this story is true,, did anyone notice that the supposed protector gave the attacker the choice " put the gun down or pull the trigger" after he had his gun pointed at the wife or himself? Who would give this person that choice?

My buddy who is a cop first told me about the OODA Loop, and since, I've seen a few posts on here that reference it. This might be an effective use of the OODA Loop. It sure wasn't what Phillips was expecting and probably caused him to have to reset his thinking. In that moment, I wonder if Mr. Pierce could have slapped the gun away from Mr. Phillips?

Regardless, I'm glad it turned out OK and expect Mr. Phillips has probably carried (legally) for the last time.

Having lived in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and having one of their Concealed Deadly Weapons Permits. Laws like this are covered when you get your Permit. They are not restricted to handguns only. I once strapped on 9 handguns cause I could (no one noticed in WalMart) but you could have either a short barreled shotgun, STEN SMG or a cast iron frying pan under your trench coat. Deadly force is deadly force and the weapon is immaterial if your justified. It will go forward to the courts. Open carry has been legal since 1814 and concealed carry in the mid 1990s.

Both of these guys are fools imo. It takes 2 to argue. The one who got flipped off should have just walk away and ignored it. The old saying sticks and stones applies here. He just got into an argument with a bigger fool and he could have been pushing up daisies now. I do not know about you guys, but when I am carrying I practice de-escalation methods.

Could be a Republican Never Trumper?

Republican Never Trumpers don’t have the brass to directly confront a Trump supporter like this. They are far too passive aggressive. They would much rather complain at a keyboard, on a news show, or just screw everyone out of spite by not advancing Trump-supported legislation that would help everyone.

Mommy: "James, you know how I feel about guns. I just hate the idea of you owning one and carrying it around town."

James: "Mommy dearest, you never know when I will have to protect you from those dangerous MAGA people."

Mommy: "Oh, I hadn't considered that."

:p

I showed my nephew's wife a picture of my 9 yo granddaughter shooting a suppressed 15-22. She let out a big gasp and said that the picture scared her! She's from a rich Pittsburgh family. Doesn't allow any guns in her house and doesn't think anyone else should have one either. I love messing with her.

With Mr. Phillips riding in the back seat of a cop car, how did mommy get home?

Show us the suppressed 15-22, and let's see if we gasp.

I love the bipod. I gotta get me a can for my 15-22. I need a granddaughter as well, but my boy is taking his time on that one.
