My AR-10A has been a work in progress basically since I brought it home a few years ago.
No one made anything other than a drop-in replacement set of hand guards until very recently, and both are Midwest Industries products.
So when an Armalite specific free float hand guard set came out, I jumped on it, as well as a low profile gas block to complete the project.
I had the work done locally, but with an additional bit of metal work, namely divets under the gas block set screws, and cross pinning the block as an insurance policy in case the set screws possibly coming loose.
The finished product is a thing of beauty. I'll post pictures this weekend.
