His announcement on ARF:

Let's see if I can answer some of the questions that will come up.
  • Yes, the baffles can be cleaned using the Dip, in an ultra-sonic, tumbler, CLR, etc.
  • Yes, the baffles are interlocking
  • No, the baffles are not shielded, we wanted the volume
  • Yes, suppression is same as the top brands and models. We wouldn't have made it if it sucked.
  • No, we won't be releasing meter data. It's a rimfire, definitely hearing safe.
  • No, it's not recommended for 5.7x28, get a small 5.56 silencer.
  • Yes, the first round pop is low on handguns
  • Warranty: workmanship and materials of course, however situations happen and we will take those on a case by case basis. Intentional damage will not be covered.
  • Yes, we will continue to sell other brand rimfire models
  • No, we won't try to upsell you on our rimfire models if you want something else.

From our website.

Our Vidar 22 rimfire silencer was designed with performance, size and price in mind. A strong, DFARS certified 6Al-4V titanium tube milled from solid bar, houses the 17-4 stainless steel baffles. The titanium rear cap is threaded 1/228 with knurling and wrench flats. The titanium front cap is knurled and uses an O ring to keep it in place while allowing for easy disassembly without the need for tools.

Manufactured in USA using USA sourced DFARS Certified materials.
  • Caliber: All Rimfire
  • Material: 6Al-4V Ti tube and end caps, 17-4 stainless steel baffles
  • Length: 5.40
  • Diameter: 1.0
  • Weight: 4.6 oz.
  • Mount: 1/2-28 direct thread
  • Finish: Cobalt, Hightemp Cerakote

Pretty cool. Sounds similar to the Element 2.

hmm... I'm wondering why they are machining the body from solid bar stock instead of starting with tubing or pipe? Much more costly to machine from solid and not necessarily better...

Priced to high IMO.

Rex silentium 22 is modular, can handle 5.7, and will take wipes. The EA NYX is lighter and can handle 5.7. The Rugged Oculus is $20 more and has more features.

No metered sound data, low on features and a un competitive price.

If it performs like the Element 2, I’ll completely disagree. If it doesn’t, you make some valid points.

The E2 is pretty much the gold standard. It had unshielded baffles and wasn’t rated for 5.7.

I want more rimfire cans. To me, easy of cleaning and light weight are most important to me. That is a much lower price point than I was expecting. Wonder if there are any local dealers that have them in stock.

If you don’t own a Mask, I highly recommend it. I would like another 22 can and gathering intel

Have you been able to get your hands on one of these Hanson brother cans? I'm starting my research dive on rimfire cans now and Hanson doesn't seem to get the same media attention some of the big name companies get.
