Will you take the kids trick or treating? Will you be handing out candy? I haven’t decided yet myself.

I was planning to hand out candy, but my home renovation work is running behind schedule so if there is still a big dumpster in my driveway, I probably won't.

Kungflu can't stop a holiday. October 31st will still be Halloween. We found a city doing a downtown business trick or treat, that's where we'll be going.
I’m pretty sure our downtown business trick or treat was cancelled here. The public is not allowed inside any city owned property. Not even to pay bills.

I’ve always participated in Halloween even though I don’t believe it should be a celebrated event. I don’t care much for hyped days for retailers to make money. I’ll ask CNN if it’s ok like looting and burning. Only Trump rallies are dangerous I hear.

Some live for the moms in their dirty little costumes. Bad day in paradise if you tryin to stop that

It burns me anyway, cities trying to control Halloween and trick-or-treating. Halloween is October 31st, not some other random Friday or Saturday night, and trick-or-treating lasts from whenever I want it to until I don't feel like passing out candy anymore.

Changed plans...hell no! We already won the golf cart trunk r treat contest at the lake with a parody of Duck Dynasty...anyways, we won the money back we spent in candy...probably had about 250 kids come through. Halloween night will probably get 500+ kids come through...

Kids will go collect candy...

I’m still going to hand out candy, right after I pick through the bag and eat all the good stuff myself.

Doing the same as last year- staying home behind the gate. National beggars day gets a pass.

Plans have changed a little for us this year, not because of the rona but because my brother in law purchased a house in a subdivision. My wife wants to hand candy out there because we don’t get people trick or treating at our place and I’ll take kiddo around to some houses and then come back and chase kids with a chainsaw or some other shenanigans.

Nope, no kids came to our neighborhood last year and I had to eat most of the candy myself, like I need it. This year lights out and I'll save myself a few pounds.

I'm getting a tee-shirt cannon and slinging high speed snickers bars at anyone who even slows down as they pass my house.

We never get trick or treaters because of where we live.

If we can find a neighborhood that is giving out candy we’ll be there.

And then later @Chdamn's Wife will put on her sexy hogwarts uniform, say a spell and see what comes up.

Petrificus Peckercus.

My plans are set.

it really depends upon the weather.

church has cancelled Trunk or Treat.
town has cancelled sponsored events.
we will buy candy anyway.

First year we’re planning to shut the lights off. But I’m just not dealing with it this year. >95% of our trick-or-treaters are from outside our neighborhood.

I saw Christmas lights up already on my street 2 days ago! Maybe they think they aren't going to make it till then from Covid?

They've been selling Christmas decor in the furnishing stores for close to a month. Somebody must have bought some new crap and didn't want to put it away just to dig it out again in 6 weeks.

The sil is bringing her kids over and they are all dressing up for a Halloween party at our house. Games and pumpkin carving to let them still feel like its a celebration... of sorts. Then i have a whole sunday of cleaning up. Gotta love the holidays!

I left mine up but I'm not turning them on this year.

I haven't seen a trick or treating kid in the wild in going on 6 years now. And even then, I only had one come to the house.

Halloween is already long dead. The few folks that still do it take their kids to "trunk or treat" in a parking lot.

I've lived in 5 different neighborhoods in the past 10 years. Every year I'm prepared with candy to hand out. Every year is a disappointment. Every year I end up eating it all myself. This year I'm using COVID as an an excuse to not buy candy....

I say that, and I bet the trick or treaters will come in hoards this year...and my house will get egged. lol

I'll be on the front porch like always with candy to hand out

Don’t think I will be doing any of my antics this year. Usually I pile up leaves from the yard all along the sidewalk and dress in camo laying under the leaves. When people came by I would grab a leg and sit up and say “mommy.” People pissed their pants sometimes.

Nope. Still having our annual costume party/bonfire/shenanigans .
