Having a problem with Glock (pictures added!)

Late getting back to this... It was hard to be sure in the picture, but that was my guess as well. I find Rock Slide stuff to be a little crude and unfinished. I have a barrel and basically had to polish out burrs and edges. I'm all for supporting local, but...

If you get a refund and are looking at non-premium options, the Brownell's slides are pretty good. Rockey Brass has some interesting options as well.
I trust Brownell’s, and have for 25+ years.
Plus they have a no BS, forever return policy.

Thanks. Money aside, what in your opinion would be top shelf?

Yea, I went with them as well because they're local, but the quality is pretty poor over all. Their parts kits... the sights look like chinese knock-offs of an OEM glock sight that they only saw in pictures far away without their glasses on, and the slide plate is also pretty junky. I swapped the sights and plate on mine and painted that pimp gold extractor and it's more acceptable, but if I had to do it again I would shop elsewhere.

Customer service is spotty, but they tried. They shipped me the wrong barrel, then shipped me the right barrel and I returned the wrong one, then they shipped me the right one a second time and wouldn't respond to my requests to send the duplicate back. If someone wants a deal on a rock slide threaded G32 barrel, let me know.

Don't give up too easily...
but when it jams, the 'dingus' slides over the case instead of 'pushing' it into the chamber.

When the gun is hand cycled slowly and everything is at rest does the vertical part of the dingus engage the case head properly? Remove the recoil spring if you really want to look at this fitment.

How far is the brass going when it ejects?

This is true for Glock 17 barrels, but Glock 19 barrels should be the same across the generations.
You can use a Gen 5 19 barrel in any generation as long as you use the correct RSA with it. I have done it before. The 17 like you said is the one that won’t work.

It does the same thing when cycled by hand. I changed the spring to a Glock standard spring and did the same thing. When the brass does eject, its flying 5-6 feet back and to the right.

Thanks for all the help. I sent an email to Rock Slide and they seemed willing to make things right.

Sounds like you ruled out a spring issue which is where I was heading.

@Deepriver, were you able to get anywhere with Rock Slide?
I just got it back a couple of days ago. Them are some sloooow pokes. No explanation as to what they found or how they fixed it. Just showed up in a box after repeated emails to them about the status. I will attempt to put a few rounds through it this weekend and report back. Thanks for checking.

I loaded up 3 mags, 10 rounds each. First one had two mis-feeds similar to what we saw before. 2nd one had three. 3rd one had one. so, 30 rounds 6 total mis-feeds. I really can't tell the difference between the first slide and the 2nd one they sent back. Whatever difference is slight. Not sure where to go from here. I just get tired of dealing with this kind of stuff. Sometimes its better to take a loss and move on...I'll hang on to it and keep my eyes open for a Glock slide someone may want to part with. It's a very nice looking part. The machining is superb and the finish is really nice, but pretty doesn't evoke confidence when you need it to work.

Out of site, out of mind.

Is the dingus on the new one angled like the old one?
