HD Truck photo thread

First Mack I ever drove was a 61 B model. 170 HP thermodyne , 5x2 twin stick , no power steering or A/C and most times, no heat.
Moved up to a 66 R model powered by a 283 Maxidine and a 6x2 twin stick tranny.
I miss those days but I don’t miss them, if that makes any sense.

This one started out as a tractor with no P/S (Steering wheel is about 2' diameter) was converted somewhere along the way. Easily my favorite truck to drive. You aren't gonna get there first, but it will get you there everytime.

Very nice. I like the Sterling front ends. Not much experience with them though. Its a shame they went under. I liked their CC pickups too even though it was just a rebadged Dodge.

Extremely cheap interiors. I’ve never seen one without a busted dash. The one in my pic has 750k miles on it. Mercedes engine isn’t fun to work on and lacks power but it won’t die.

What do you mean? High quality stuff right there🤣

That's my 2008 Sterling 10yd concrete truck. 8LL and a C13 cat from when I last drove for a living around 2015.

Can't seem to find pics of the outside..

8LL is one tough tranny. Prefer it over a true 9 or 10. Splitting is very useful.

Is that the truck that has auto stow for the crane, came out of CO (I think for the mine support)?
It has a bunch of safety junk built in....crain will not lift anything without the outriggers down....the auto stow is a joke at best lol...it does have some neat features if needed ie in a tight spot you can set boundaries for rotation height and extention....best thing is two fuel tanks!

Wish mine had dual tanks. The bed on my new one is a little smaller than my 2018 was also
