Hi Guys!

I was referred to this forum by an existing member while trading from a listing on Armslist. I've taken a look around, and it appears that I'll like CFF much better than other forums I've been on. I collect military surplus arms, but have a bit of fun with my more modern range toys as well.

Thanks guys!

Hello from Raleigh, you're going to like it here on CFF.

Didn't go there, but I live about 2 miles down the road! Went to high school in Duplin County, went to ECU for my bachelor's and took a job in Goldsboro.

Ok, then you'll pass. I fabricated a rivalry with the wrestling team at Rosewood when I was in high school. Didn't care for those guys at all. Can't remember the guy's name anymore but when I lost to him we lost the state dual team tournament.

We played division 1A football and basketball against them, and I share the same sentiment. I don't socialize in the neighborhood too much as a result. Lol

Welcome from WNC

"The neighborhood"? Rosewood has a "neighborhood"??
I suppose it depends on what you call a "neighborhood". Lots of high dollar subdivisions popping up on farmland around me, and I stay in one of the older "affluent" subdivisions. I don't quite fit in, you could say. I drink beer while riding the lawnmower, they hire lawn service companies LOL

My mom died 16 years ago, when she was still kicking we'd drive through, she would point out..."aunt so-and-so lived in that house...", "cousin so-and-so lived over there...." Every single one of those homes are gone now, razed, with new homes or subdivisions on that old farmland. Our family cemetery (where she, my dad, and many of my relatives are buried) is at the intersection of Rosewood Rd and Perkins Mill.

No kidding, I go through that intersection on my way home every day. Houses popping up all over, the most popular location is Charlie Braswell Rd. Over two dozen new houses within the last couple of years.
