My name is John and I herald from Summerville. I retired last year from a large airplane manufacturer’s fire department after 30years and currently work for MUSC. I also spent 10years as a Reserve Police Officer. We moved to SC four years ago from Seattle and have not regretted a day of it. Thanks for allowing me to be part of this little corner of the internet; I hope to learn and maybe to pass on some wisdom five and a half decades on this planet has taught me.

Welcome.

Glad to have you.

Duke's is mayonnaise.

Grits don't need anything but butter and salt.

You already know about sweet tea.

You'll fit in fine[emoji41]

When I first got down here I was corrected by a Waffle House waitress when putting sugar on my grits - “Oh honey, we don’t put sugar on grits. You must be from up north, bless your heart.”

You were in a Waffle House, so that's a good sign. It sounds like you're trainable.

Welcome to CFF John and we're glad to have you join up with us. Please reach out to others and invite them to join up also.

Our SC membership just keeps growing, and growing, and growing.
