Help me spend my Christmas bonus!

Saw the Sig Sauer 1911 Fastback Nightmare online today and fell in love with it. Heading somewhere to put my paws on one in the near future. I've already got an SP2022, P938 and P238. I like all of them and have always shot them well. I never thought of myself as a Sig fanboy but apparently they appeal to me...

Anybody a proud owner of a Nightmare and can give me a testimonial?
Anybody want to try to talk me out of it?

Decisions I'd like some input on...
Full size vs Carry size? I'm leaning Carry
.45 Auto or .357 Sig? I'm leaning .45

If you intend to carry it, get the carry model, otherwise I'd buy the full sized version.

I've always wanted a .357 Sig, but not in a 1911.

So now you're lined up to buy another Sig in the future!

If it was me and I had some "found money" and had all my other ducks in a row, I'd go to a full size 1911 in .45 ACP if I had to choose between that and .357 SIG. Unless of course you intend to EDC it, as @Grim said something a bit smaller, like an "officer" size maybe.

The .357Sig is a screamer and excellent penetrator but ammo is limited in choices and can be in availability also. From the point of what’s in your collection now my vote is for .45acp ... with the .357Sig later down the road.

Thanks guys. Yes, I'm very blessed with a good job. Super thankful for the bonus too. I'm also a saver and have a 'gun fund' that I pull from when something catches my eye. Makes me a gun accumulator instead of trader. It's a curse I'm willing to live with.

I believe I will end up carrying it, hence the preference to the carry with a 4.2" barrel over the full-size at 5". Points about limited choices of .357 Sig ammo are part of the reason for wanting .45. It'll be my first .45 so I'll need to ramp up on a new caliber.
