Ok, I have zero experience with the .300 Blackout caliber. My DIL has a pair of rifles, and has asked me for advice on loads.
We'll be handloading.
No sub-sonic rounds necessary.

My question; "What bullet weights are preferred IN GENERAL for this application? From my study,, I'm thinking the 125 grn bullets will do what she seeks.

Thoughts?

Hunting? Target shooting for accuracy? Plinking? I assume not suppressed since supersonic.

Or maybe just - paper or deer?

125gr is OK, but 110gr is better. The lighter the bullet, the better velocity you’ll get out of the short .300BLK barrels, and since most of these bullets are .308 bullets designed for higher velocities, you need all you can get if you’re concerned with terminal performance.

That’s a really poor assumption. 😉

For hunting, the 100g Cutting Edge Raptor, or Barnes TTX

Here’s some reading material
It seems these could be merged:

@contender All the above threads have great info in them and the Cliff notes version for supersonic loads are: Either W296 or H110 for powder (CFE BLK isn't bad either) for maximum terminal performance the Cutting Edge 100gr Raptor is your top pick followed closely by 110gr Barnes TAC-TX and the Lehigh Defense Controlled Chaos lineup.

One bullet likely not mentioned often in those threads, because it was out of production from 2019 until late 2022, is the Hornady 110gr Soft Point #3010. The Hornady V-max and Nosler Varmageddon bullets are quite nice too dependent on impact velocity.

Thanks for the replies.

No Suppressor,, which is why I mentioned she didn't need sub-sonic loads.

Looks like, in general,, I'll be looking for 110 grn bullets for her. Thanks all!!!!!
