I've never liked the tiny grips on these revolvers. I have large hands but no freakishly so, and I could never get a cozy 3 finger grab and always shelved my pinky under the bottom of the grip. I wanted larger grips but the only place (I found) that you could source any was Heritage, and they were always oos. Had all the blingy ones but never oversize in stock.
After years of waiting (seriously) they are in stock. Altamont makes these things. The quality is good and they're only $35. It's hard to tell from the pics but they don't 'round' and blend into the backstrap as nicely as the stock rosewood, they're more square pushing on the palm. It's not uncomfortable but it could've been better.
I have 2 of these guns, a 6" nine-shot and the ridiculous 16" thing which is too stupid and entirely loveable. That 16" was about not-doable for me because of the tiny grip and long barrel. Totally unwieldly. The oversize grips allow a full man-hand grip and made all the difference with that gun.
So they do work, and with the price and quality I vote yes.
Now's a good time to buy if you want some. Coupon "grips15" will get you 15% off any grips. Coupon "laborday2023" gets you 20% off and free shipping over $49.
