I just got back and it was beautiful up in Waynesville, NC... I mean soul achingly beautiful.

I recommend Bogarts steakhouse & got sick at “fat buddies” BBQ so exercise discretion. ;)

As for the event itself, I enjoyed it but was not able to take all the classes I wanted. One guy had car accident so he had to cancel, another guy giving a lecture got a call to go overseas so he had to leave Saturday.

I really enjoyed his lecture on “how to harden your home”. He was undoubtedly one of the few speakers to know what he was talking about. There were a few that made me go o_O

The solar energy class made me leave halfway thru when I realized I couldn’t afford that stuff if I sold cocaine.:(

The lecture on “building survival group” was priceless too. Preppernet.com is his website.
I liked how his group was set up.

There was a different instructor who seemed a little off, but that may be because he recommended reading James Wesley Rawls “patriots surviving the coming collapse”, the single worst book I ever heard. I got it for $1 at Goodwill and still felt robbed. All it was was a list of gear with a few bad narratives in between.

So check it out next year, you might learn something good. I wanted to take the course on how to keep your home fireproof when fire department is gone, and soap making.

Don’t get me wrong, I had a good time but I think they may need to get their teachers a bit more maybe.

Paul Valone gave a class on gun laws for preppers that was awesome, I’m thinking of giving a lecture next year on the concealed carry life & how to talk to others about it, tips and tricks, etc.

There was one security guy who struck me as weird, but that may be due to my prejudice against Hipoint pistols.. :p
