I'm a 3 holer, just like a 1955 Buick Special.
Healing up nicely. The Dr gave me an Rx for 800mg Motrin, 3 QID. I took one as soon as I got the Rx filled around 1 PM on Thursday and another around 9:30 PM. He said to take them the first couple of days whether I needed them or not. The pills made me very nauseous and I slept very little Thursday night. I'll not take any more of them.
Friday morning, some soreness, but feeling pretty good, I went out and ran a few errands. Te Dr told me that I could drive after 4 to eight hours. The wife said that he said 48 hours but, I heard 4 to 8 hours.
I got back home around 10 AM and rested a bit. Still doing well.
I knew that
@Have gun-will travel was going to be at Battery Oaks around noon. I had talked to him by PM and on the phone several times but I had never met him. Every time that he came to Conway, I was at work. I gathered up a few things and drove on over. Had a good visit with
@RS and
@BatteryOaksBilly and got to meet
@Have gun-will travel . We even got to fire a few rounds at the Wizard. I tried my Bersa with a proper magazine and it works like a charm.
Friday night and this morning, I'm pretty sore. Not painful, just sore. All of the numbing from the surgery is gone and I was pretty active yesterday. After all, I started my errands less than 24 hours from my surgery. I know that I'm very fortunate to have come through this as easily as I have so far. Yep, I'm sore but the only way to get rid of soreness is to work it out.
Billy is getting a shipment of bowling pins tomorrow. It's going to be very hard for me not to jump in and help unload them. But, I know that I can't do it and I'll have to watch. I don't know what would be worse, the pain when I picked up a box of the pins or the flogging Ronnie Sue would give me with a switch. So, I'll just stand off to the side and criticize everyone that's doing the actual work.
