I have one, and though it's HS's low end gun, they're great, accurate shooters. John Stimsons page is a great one for this info (he's been collecting data for at least 20 yrs)


If you take off the grip, you're in for a shock. It's how HS cut costs on this model.

I really enjoy shooting mine. Congrats on a nice score.
 
I traded a 10/22 for one years ago, it came with two barrels one of which was chopped. The chopped one is now threaded for a can!
Mags can be an issue as the originals are hard to find.
 
No argument there. There are cheaper ones but they don't work :)
