Anyone run one of these? The circle is an interesting concept to help you from chasing the dot. I am not sure if I love the chevron. I am not a big fan of the chevron or the idea it is not an enclosed emitter but the overall concept seems sound.

Why this one instead of HS503 that's more like the Aimpoint micro T1

Ah. The pic mount led me to believe otherwise.

The image on the right is a reticle option? That's strange...

On the Holosun tip, I love the 507c x2 I have on my 34. It's the eotech type reticle 2moa dot with a circle and cross hairs...

Also have the K X2 with the same reticle

The new one doesn't interest me...

Read about them. Look pretty neat. I run the older version and have no complaints.

I hate the chevron.
but I like the concept. Circle dot seems to work fine.

I misread the first post. I've got the regular one coming with the circle dot. This is a nice one though.

I agree. I don't like the chevron but the larger circle so you don't chase the dot is a interesting concept.

Agree.
But I do think ultimately if one is going to carry or compete with a dot, they need to practice until that dot is always there. So it seems like a bit of a bandaid.

100% but I think there are times when shooting on the move or at multiple targets you lose the dot. No matter how hard you train it can and will happen. From a static stand and draw position you can train to always see the dot. On the move with multiple targets to the left, right. side etc the swings become more extreme. The chance of losing the dot becomes higher. The outer ring gives you a fast frame of reference where you immediately know where the dot is. Mr Guns and Gear in the video I linked to points that out and I agree. The same thing happens with a standard front post but the field of view is different so correction is easier. I don't view it as a bandaid as much as a backup. For me the chervon kills it but it is an interesting concept.

I've shot dots for some time in all those situations, and agree you can lose it. But, when I think of open division in USPSA, all those positions are forced on you in the most extreme way possible, and nobody uses circle dots. They practice.

But I think on smaller carry guns, with some of these smaller windows, the ease of losing dot is exacerbated. So, I do agree, but have seen evidence it can be trained out. Indeed it is top shooters that shoot A LOT. So, for us normal Joes and newbs I do see the advantage. At ant rate, I would like to try one.

Agreed. I think the niche for this for carry guns. In the end you can train almost anything out but the reality is unless you are a sponsored fulltime shooter there are going to be holes in your game. I have tunnels. Sometimes I need all the help I can get. :D
