Has anyone used the double soft loops ? How are they compared to a belt clip? Seems like they would have a lot of slop and allow the holster to move when drawing?

I like my quick clips in the holsters that @rantingredneck made fer me. They hold against the belt great and are easy to remove

Double soft loops for me.
I used clips for quite awhile. Then I did some force on force training, and I wound up having to try to draw an airsoft gun out of a good holster with clips while sitting in the driver's seat of a car. Guess what I actually drew? If you guessed "the gun still inside the holster," then you are correct. We ran the scenario again. I had to draw again. Guess what I got a handful of? Yep. Holster. I got sold on soft loops that very minute.
I do not find that the soft loops create more slop--the opposite, in fact. Some of this depends on your belt, some depends on how you arrange the loops, some depends on whether they're right close together on the holster or whether there's a little bit of space in between them. Also, the loops typically have three settings for length.
