Hornady 62gr 556 SP for SD/HD

I was trolling around for some 556 ammo and stumbled on Hornadys Frontier 62 gr SP. I guess this is the first time I really looked at it. Anyway, after some googling and some reviews I wonder if this would be a cost effective alternative for Self defense or home defense. You could certainly afford to stock up on it.

does anyone have any experience with it?

Your Hornady example isn't specifically listed in the article, but it's in the ballpark.

It’s a decent all purpose/jack of all trades round. Can harvest game or human predators, shoot targets, etc

You could definitely do worse for a stockpile of ammo.
