Can you please post a sticky here with info on how to find contact your legislators (state and federal)?

Minimizing any barriers to engagement might help.

Here is a link that guides you step by step to find your representatives and their contact info in the NC house, NC senate and US house. It includes links to our senators webpages.

FIND YOUR REPRESENTATIVES HERE

Here is general contact info for all legislators:

How can I e-mail all legislators?
The North Carolina General Assembly does not provide a distribution list for sending e-mail directly to the personal e-mail boxes of all legislators. You can e-mail your Representative or Senator directly by using the appropriate e-mail address found within the House and Senate sections of our web site. You can also use the e-mail addresses found on our site to create your own distribution list. Visit the House and Senate webpages to find lists of e-mail addresses.

For best results, e-mail the Representative and/or Senator in your district(s) and please refer to a bill number or issue in the subject of your e-mail.

If you do not know who represents you, click here to search for your district by county or address.

There are three public folder e-mail mailboxes that are accessible for members of the General Assembly. You are welcome to send e-mail to these public folders but for best results and to ensure that the e-mail message goes directly to the legislator's inbox, e-mail your Representative and/or Senator directly.

Good idea. I'll start a something tonight
Might reach even more folks if it is the firearms news and views and maybe politics?

I'm thrilled to have GRNC here, but I wonder if this a high enough traffic area to catch the most eyes.

Fun fact: emails become public record; physical letters do not.

Also,
  1. Be polite. You want to be heard.
  2. Try to write your argument in short sentences and simple terms. Nobody ever accused politicians to be well-educated.
  3. Be to the point. Your letter/email might have only 15 seconds before whoever is sorting them decides if it goes up the chain or gets deleted.
  4. No matter which affiliation you are, do remind them you vote and vote on issues and track record, not party line. And that you have long memory and helped all your voting friends to remember what happened during the year.

I just want to say Congressman Ted Budd is extremely responsive and helpful and very Pro 2A. It's actually a pleasure dealing with his office and his assistant Addison.

Contacting is one thing;them listening to an "ordinary" citizen is another. IMHO these creatins could care less unless you show then the money :(. I contacted reps,Senators;about help with the VA, I got an email asking for political contribution. FUBAR!!!!!! I'm USMC vet, fiscal conservative, my oath to support and defend the Constitution will never expire; but how? Do we need to do the antifa/black lives thang and burn it all down??

This has been my experience repeatedly. If you contact an R's office during normal business hours, they'll probably have somebody to talk to and be friendly, answer questions, etc. If you contact a D's office during normal business hours, you'll reach an answering machine and leave a message asking to be called back to discuss issues but never hear from them.
you might get a form email if you leave that info... but don't bet on it.

Sir it has not been my experience. Maybe cought em at a bad time. Anyway I'm done with the VA. I got better and cheaper insurance through medicare supplement. The VA is "quirky"
