So I get the idiot award for September. I recently traded for a Ruger American Predator in 6.5creedmoor. When I was looking over the gun everything checked out. Bolt ran smooth, barrel was in good shape (it was fairly new actually). It wasn’t until I got home that what I thought was a bipod attachment was actually a “camera tripod block” that has been drilled into the frame. I don’t know how I missed it. I took off the mount and now there are 5 screw holes in the bottom of the stock. Is there a halfway decent way to fix that outside of buying a replacement stock.

Marine Tex. Comes in black and white. Ive used it to fix holes in plastic fuel tanks on tractors and for grip texture on rifle stocks. It’s great stuff and underrated

^ this.....this stuff gets hard as supermans knee cap and you can drill/tap it too. If youre gonna paint it, LabMetal has worked for me on similar "projects"

Update: I took just high grit sand paper to the stock and it did a really good job of smoothing out there drill holes. I plan to plug it using some jb weld as recommended above. I decided I would like to put a camouflage finish on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do that. If it is something I can do with minimal tools or not. Thanks.

@11B CIB does some awesome camo jobs. Maybe he can chime in

@rdec873 i can help with paint jobs. Depends on how mild to wild you want to go.

Mesh laundry bag over a flat color?

Pine straw camo?

Or home made stencils in a multicam/M81/etc style?
