How's THIS for a crappy morning?

I broke her window pulling some rot out of a soft space just above the sill plate. I'll look at the window and saw where it ended and was very carefully digging it out with a chisel rather than a plunge blade. Instead it turns out that the window manufacturer had a some kind of aluminum tail or something that extended down almost an inch and a half and the glass was not where I tapped with the Chisel the tail was in the vibration cracked the glass all the way up. So I'm buying a new window. Fortunately it's only $85 but there are time considerations here and it's just irritating

Damage claim. Got it.

When i worked at DirecTV we budgeted $2000 a year per field tech for such things.

It is very common due to never knowing whats underneath/inside a floor, wall, and such.

Sucks

I woke with a headache.

That and my daughter wants to spend the summer working with refugees in Greece.

Good! She'll see stuff first hand, and tell you about it and you can tell us. Maybe now we can learn about real stuff from real people instead of propaganda networks.

Dang - I think that is one time I'd have to pull rank on my kid, regardless of how old he/she is :).

Just out of curiosity, and, if you don't mind me asking - what led her to making that decision? (feels called to do so by God, loves to volunteer, part of a mission group, idealogical/political reasons, etc....)

My daughter worked one summer with YWAM, a Christian group, attempting to have a ministry with street prostitutes in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco.

Overall, it was positive, but there were a number of problems. At least she did not come back thinking political activism was going to be central in addressing the problems of this group, which were MASSIVE. I believe whether or not it is a good idea depends largely on the ideology of the group she works with. Just my 2 cents

Just got a letter from my nephew today raising dough for a trip to Australia for six months with the same organization. He’s a good kid, and his mom, my baby sis, is the best. I think I’m gonna help him out.

I am going to freely admit, some of u guys make my issues with a window seem very tame. A little embarrassed here
That’s the point in sharing that kind of stuff. It puts things in perspective for you. Now you’re glad your mistake only cost you $85 vs being something money can’t fix like some other guys’ news.

Sorry to learn of these problems, I woke up today and that is a great day, if it got any better I could not stand it.

I just received a bill to repair a broken window in an office condo. The maintenance outfit I use is typically very reasonable, if not downright inexpensive. This bill, however, was $348.

I had a rough morning too. I work from home and start at 8. Got up at 7:40, brushed my teeth and was headed to my pc when I partially tripped on a power cord and chipped a nail dang!

I am going to assume you didn’t raise her that dumb. Was it a specific college you can name or another virus?

Apologies in advance if my tone seems insulting to you or yours. My bedside manner is not well great.

She is not certain that the stories we’re hearing are accurate, and like many young people has little ability to evaluate risk.

The Lord watches over fools and drunks!

At the office at 7:30. Coffee and Booger Cod sausage, egg, and cheeze cross ant waiting for me. Gobbled it up and at 8 started seeing 15 toothless Yankees. Post office by Noon to send a fellow CFFr a money order for Dan Wesson .22. Home and on the Range by 1:00 shooting with old bear from CFF. 5:00 ordering at The Longhorn. 7;30 back here on this machine. Tomorrow with only Slight variations will be a repeat. I love my life.

I’m building a house (paying someone to do so) and discovered a few outlet covers are a little crooked.

Given the recent state of the Greek economy, "refugee" might well describe the bulk of the indigenous population. Kyrie eleison.

Done with the taxes today and yes, taxation is theft.

Once you pull the frame and pop in the glass, that is not a bad price. $85 was just the glass for this. I have to do the install myself.

Final question: Why is it they come down here to buy our sets of teef ?

The awesome quality and customer service or is there a limit on how many teef they're allowed to have replaced in their mouths? Just wondering since they want limits on magazine capacities, etc...…….makes sense if they want to limit magazine capacity to ten rounds or less that dentures for them should have limits on how many teef are in them.

They sent Lauren home early. They used lots of "spiritual" language to say "she is not regenerate, or does not seem to be, and there is real evil on the streets of San Francisco. We are willing to send out kids and go ourselves and trust in God to protect us, but it is unwise to go out there without God."

This was the beginning of Lauren's realization that knowing all the right words is dramatically different than a personal relationship with God. I guess all of us have to take that journey. This one wound up very good. Here is the best to your nephew!

My nephew's dad (my BIL) is one of my favorite pastors/preachers and has been to some extremely dark places in Africa "on the job". I think he's "vetted" his boy to be sure he's up for it. I hope so anyway.
