Hey @fieldgrade you’ll love this one. My wife was on that Next Door site and involved in a conversation about kids going to the prom. One Mom went off on a rant about how they do it up in Massachusetts. So today at breakfast my wife explained to me she really doesn’t care how they do it up there, and that people who move from those areas should leave their bad ideas at home. :p

I think I shed a few tears. It was beautiful. And no coaching or training was involved in this act of Southern Defense.

Thinking about one of those Promise Keeper stickers for my car.

Tell the missus we're proud of her.

And along those lines, I'm taking both of the tall, skinny spawn of Fieldgrade to the range tomorrow. No telling how much powder will get burned. And one will be gifted a Colt 1911 for graduation tomorrow.

He’s a lucky man. I’m sure he’ll cherish that Colt. The question is will the other one kick his ass to get it?

The one getting the Colt is wildly interested in firearms, and named after my dad who bought it 25 years ago. The other son is not nearly as interested. My Springfield RO is actually a better gun IMHO and will have his name on it should he decide he wants one some day.

No bloodshed is a good thing. Sounds like we’ll have a new member soon and you have some work to do on the other. I have the same problem, but mine are girls and I have some more time to work on it. Although my young non-gun girl did suggest I could shoot the ‘sketchy’ people at Myrtle Beach last weekend, so there is hope.

Good thing I'm from New Hampshire. Born and raised.
Lived in MA after my USAF service.

EWWWWW Even worse!
At least Mass has some good history and Boston

lol

There's a crowd of guys on a car forum I hang out on who are all from MA that call themselves that.
All gun lovers, too.
I'm also on Northeast Shooters.
The security on that forum is intense. They are rightly a little paranoid about prying eyes.

NH is constitutional carry.
MA is "May Issue." In Boston that means that unless one is wealthy, a doctor, or a lawyer, you will not get an unrestricted permit. Unrestricted is required to carry other than in a locked case to and from a range. This policy is illegal even under MA law. So it is not put in writing. But it has been said to applicants over the phone.
