I should've taken a before picture with how bad the carport/workshop had gotten. Full sheets of plywood and MDF sitting there and no room on my workbench for anything. No more. It took a day and a half but things are back to how they should be and I can start refinishing that oak table.

Awesome to regain the lost space and opportunity of doing things you could not have done before the re-organizing. Great job sir!

Went through a simular situation yesterday myself. Tired of having to look for tools I know I have and my work bench always being cluttered. Went through all my tools, and the stuff I have doubles and triples of will go in the yard sale pile for next weekend or flea bay.
I mean, I have a tool set for the jeep, the truck, the motorcycle a small set for the wife's car and the garage, so the rest are just taking up space.
I also collect vintage tools, so I'm always bringing a pile in. Kinda my own fault...
Anywho, I know you feel better.

Looking good. I might spend some time out in my garage tomorrow doing some straightening up too
Clutter and trash makes a place seem so unappealing and less productive, in my opinion

I usually have to do mine every Spring and Fall. Too hot innthe Summer to mess with it. In bewteen cleanings is usally just enough time for my women-folk to leave enough stuff lying around that it becomes an obstacle course to get to the door. Guess they have me trained because they are slobs and I clean it up.

Nice job! It must be in the air... I have been doing the same thing this weekend. I tend not to throw scraps or spare parts out, and after a while it gets out of hand. My old single car 'garage' hasn't had a car in it in over ten years.

Nice! My garage/shop/man cave is in a constant state of disarray. Every time I clean up, throw stuff away, organize. It’s back in the same state within a week... a month or so ago I took a bunch of stuff to the storage unit. Three trips worth. Yet today I couldn’t get my dual sport out without spending an eternity clearing a path.

I’ve gotten so lax that my reloading room (inside the end of the garage) has so much junk everywhere that I haven’t reloaded in months. Mostly because when the urge hits. I go down to discover I’ll have to spend a few hours cleaning and organizing before I ever pull a handle:confused::rolleyes:

A clean workspace makes me sooo jealous:(

Umm... And all those sheets of wood went where?

Instead of going on vacation this year the wife and I spent the week of fourth of jully cleaning out closets and the spare bedroom. 15 years of accumulated I'm going to need that later stuff, which turns out we didn't need it later, 21 bag of clothes, household items donated to yoke fellow ( local charity) and several items given away here.
Christmas vacation we start on the basement.

Looks great but; now that you got all that extra room it's time to get some more stuff to fill it back
up. LOL

A couple years ago I rented a Mini-Pod and had it dropped in the driveway. I spent a week emptying the entire garage into that thing. Then, I cleaned, painted, etc.

When I emptied the Pod BACK into the garage, I was brutal about what got kept and what went on the trailer for the dump or into the truck for donation.

I got rid of a ton and felt really good at the end!
