The bear would eat me and both of these Colts. You would need to ask the BEAR.

So if I bring enough gun, I can dig it out of his carcass and keep? Cool... Lemme know when you go hunting...

I'd like to wish you the best of luck with that little .25, and your 44 may not be enough either based on the attitude of said bear. When you don't come back can I have your fishing equipment, any shotguns and your truck?? You do have a truck don't you??? OH, and I'll need pics of the wife.....

Truck will be with me. Pics of wife will be in my billfold...might have to ask the bear for that.

This picture, strangely enough, really makes me wish for a trip to the outdoors. It's open, forested, and green... and I hate you for it, because it's cloudy and miserable.

Ha yeah, there's a guy I know who actually thinks 25ACP is enough for self defense. Nah man... that's a range toy. Don't try to make something out to be something it's not. :p

Based on my guess of when that ad was run I believe they killed a bear with a .25. But it was a tame bear. One of them held out an apple while the other shot the bear in the back of the head.

Proof of concept.

Nice Colt. Beautiful, original finish. That is a good one to show someone what those guns are supposed to look like.

I had a buddy in Linville kill one on his front porch with a Bond Arms .45lc derringer one night. They scared the hell outta each other and he shot it. Found it at the edge of the yard the next morning. He's damn lucky that bear didn't eat that gun clean up to the elbow!

As long as you have a safe place to hold up for awhile, you can shoot it with the .25. Then wait for the wound to get in infected and the bear die from infection!

I had a 25 once. That thing would have a squib about every 2 boxes of ammo. If you where going to take it anywhere you had better bring a brass rod to get the damm projectile out of the barrel. That was my first pistol and my last .25
