I cannot shoot tiny wheel guns.

Snub nose revolvers are my thing. Shoot them better than Glocks, 1911s, or anything else. A firm and high grip is helpful. It keeps the barrel in line with your wrist and forearm to to control recoil. Also, focus on being a stable platform for the revolver. I like to imagine the hammer falling and pushing the round downrange...like a pool cue hitting a ball. A smooth straight back trigger pull is essential. Really, it's just solid fundamentals. Snubs are less forgiving.

This, plus a set of grips that place your finger on the trigger correctly.

Excellent reference on shooting revo is Grant Cunningham's "Book of the revolver."
Best $17 bucks I ever spent on a gun book, honestly.

How's your experience been with the 9?
The little bit I've shot it has been good. It doesn't need moon clips, which is nice.

The most important change you Need to make, is Stop telling yourself I can’t do this. Then start working on the basics, such as dryfiring and actual shooting.

Best of luck and let us know what happens.
Henry Ford said,,,if you don't believe you can do something, you are probably right.

I like snubs. Practice helps.

This. Yes. So important. I mentioned this (I think) in my revolver picture post with the Herrett's grips recently. The fatter backstrap puts my finger right where it needs to be. Get the same effect from Tyler T grips / Barami Hip Grip combo.

I've not tried or seen those...hmmm. Looks like it has a push button auto-opening skull crusher on the bottom...that could be used for a pinky rest of course. o_O

I was very interested in this when they first announced it. Didn't want to be their guinea pig.

Call me the guinea pig, I purchased a set today at the LGS. The extension works well and definitely offers a better grip on the J frame. Going out tomorrow to shoot with new grips.

Edit: Practicing drawing from the front pocket along with drawing from an IWB holster the spring loaded extension doesn't hinder my normal draw and fire sequence of the J frame. If you are used to tucking your little finger under the grip on the draw it should not be an issue.

Thanks for being the tester. I hope you'll post your impressions after the range session.

I say the hell with it.

In contact distance 10yds and under you will be single hand, running like hell too or from. And screaming like a b!tch.

"This is my idea on my reaction"

Practice reality, single hand draw and bang it away . Focus on target only. Hits on paper work, then get better and have hits on the aim point.

Whenever I practiced with my little 642 it was point not sights and run it dry. Not too much moving around, most ranges frown on it.
