And, they were all identical to this one.

Today, I began working for a fleet vehicle dealership. They had gotten in 21 Tacomas and they all needed to be moved to a storage lot. Then I took some F-150's over to a place that does window tinting and bed liners. The, I took a couple of Explorers to a place that installs light bars, radios, cages, etc. for police use.

I've been looking for something to do to keep me occupied and I think I have found the perfect place. It is a huge fleet sales dealership connected to our local Ford dealership, but they also have other makes of vehicles. I get to ride around in new vehicles and get paid for it. Oh, @BatteryOaksBilly , those Interceptor Explorers have some giddy up to them.

I picked up a 22 TRD 4x4 as a rental today.
The rats under the hood need some more food. It is slow!
My 2011 and 2012 had better get up and go... but the ride is no much better.
If it was a test ride I could not buy it.

I was surprised at how sluggish the F-150s were. But, they were still in transportation mode. Once they are reset into the normal mode, I'm sure that they will do much better. The Explorers were not in transportation mode.

Get a discount on them?

Congrats on the new gig @Geezer . I talked to a big Ford dealer about that but it just didn’t jibe for my schedule. I think @Jayne is doing that now.
This is attached to the Ford dealer but, it's a separate deal. That's why they also handle Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota. It is a big outfit, over 500 vehicles on hand and most are sold when they get here. We just add accessories and deliver them.

Right now, they have storage lots all over town, and the vehicles just keep coming in. The lack of available vehicles a while back got local commercial businesses and governments behind on replacing vehicles and now is end of the year and local government agencies have budget money that needs to be spent so they can get more money next year. So, now is the time for them to spend money on new vehicles.

Wonder why they are 21 years models. Are they holding old models or just unsold. They look new from the picture.

Yep, for the Johnson auto group. Pay is lousy and hardly worth it, but I get to drive all sorts of stuff.

This sounds like my brother's experience. In college at UNCC he worked at carmax... The familiarization, welcome to carmax curriculum they had to drive several kinds of vehicles. He had a manual 2 door honda accord as a daily so he picked the sports cars and took them for a spin... vetts, porches, caddys, etc. He said it was awesome. His best story was an old man came in to by a z06 and the sales guy's foot slipped and dropped the clutch while bringing it around, did a burn out and spin in the lot... Embarrassed he just turned it off got out and came in and handed the guy the keys with the car in the middle of the lot. The sales guy got ribbed bad by the staff but in good fun. ...

Leave notes in the glove boxes?

I know there is a cult following for these Yota trucks, but I don't really get it. My ex wife had a 2001 ex cab, 4x4 with manual, and it was underwhelming. Under powered, ok ride, lots a body roll, etc. Didn't do anything great, just, eh.

Fast forward, a coworker and one of Kelly's bf's bought a 2018, 4x4, TRD, blah blah blah, and it's about the same. I drove it one night to drop them off at a concert, and I literally thought, why.....I just don't get it. So, does that TRD secretly stand for TERD, lol.
Flame suit on, hahaha

Toyota trucks are not that great these days, seem to be trading on nothing but their name. People continue to gobble them up

Picking up my F150 from the Ford Service department yesterday and there was a nice looking 2018 Tacoma parked nearby. $40, 000 on the price tag.

Did they get a free BUCKET 🪣 with purchase??? 🤔🤔🤔

That's insane! I sure I could sell DirtySCREW (2017 F150 5.0 4x4) for more than I paid for it....but then I'd be out a truck...lol

Were the F150s hybrid? Powerboost ain't too shabby.
Most of our Interceptors are NA ☹️. It is nice getting paid to drive whatever random thing shows up, better still working on them, either you learn what's nice and what's gimmicky/junk quickly.

The screen on the dash says it's in Delivery Mode. The other guys say that once they are taken out of Delivery Mode they are peppier.

The city of Dallas ordered 15 Ford Lightning electric trucks and they have been sitting on our lot for months. The city of Dallas has no charging stations to charge these trucks. They are waiting on someone to install the charging stations so they can put these trucks into service.

That is the order government tends to do things in: try to do something that sounds nice, fail completely because you didn't think it through

Local BIG Toyota dealership used to hide deliveries like that on a dirt lot in the woods near the dealership. They would stick two or three on the paved lot and jack prospective buyers up by saying they had limited inventory.

Next up they'll surplus off the trucks for pennies on the dollar because they're too old after sitting around for a few years....

So basically you own those for just about as long as @BatteryOaksBilly keeps his.

Like the famous “holster note”? 😂
he did it to me so many times, he changed the note to say “you know what I did”
